To many people, Sakura can come off as a weak, unworthy-of-being-noticed, girl with pink hair. But there is more beneath her genetic inheritance. Sakura is a strong-willed young girl, loyal to her teammates and dedicated. She wants to be the one who saves her friends, and she’d do it at the cost of her own life. She has some issues with being left behind, or being considered weak. She also has a very dangerous, mean temper that comes out whenever someone is either underestimating her, insulting her, annoying her, or hurting her friends. And coming from a girl who can technically punch through walls, that’s a bad thing to deal with. Sakura deals with situations based on common sense. Smart enough to create her own strategies, be diplomatic when needed, and get out of risky situations alone. She is very sociable, and doesn’t mind talking to people, but she’s also opinionated and will probably tell people when she thinks they are wrong, giving her own reasons. It takes quite a lot more, though, for her to consider them her closest friends.
[edit] Powers and Abilities
Perfect chakra control which enables her to use genjutsu (illusions that trick only the mind of the victim) and other jutsus to their maximum efficiency. After a long period of training, she’s also able to use that chakra to add to her strength, thusly being able to decimate obstacles and turn them to rubble in a matter of seconds—this ability has become almost like a second nature in battle. She is able to pick up on an enemy's movements in a short period of time, as good medics need to be able to avoid damage and survive a battle if they are to fulfill their purpose. She is also a very skilled medic, being capable of healing the fatal injuries of others with relatively little effort, injuries others would deem a lost cause with little effort, with an extensive knowledge on poisoning and curing it.

Sakura comes from a family of civilians, and is considered to be the first Haruno to have joined the shinobi academy (based on speculation). When she was young, Sakura was a shy girl with low self-esteem, thanks to the few kids at school who always teased her about her forehead. She met a girl named Ino, who turned to be her best friend for years to come, until Sakura got her first crush. The boy: Sasuke, also the same boy Ino had a crush on. From that moment onwards, they’d become rivals for the love of Sasuke-kun. Where Sasuke went, Sakura followed, so it was only normal when she joined the Shinobi Academy to stalk with him.
At the age of twelve, she was classified as a genin, and put on a team with Sasuke (to her joy) and Naruto (to her…not joy), under a man named Kakashi Hatake. Sakura spent half of her time there fawning over Sasuke’s coolness, and completely disregarding all of Naruto’s attempts to please her. She was, in better words, a bitch and a fangirl. But things changed when, during the chunin exams, Sakura realised that she was basically useless to her team, not being able to defend her two injured teammates from the enemies. Something snapped inside her mind then, and Sakura decided she’d had it with being the one left behind, the weakest one, the girl that always had to be rescued. She made a promise to herself that she’d be the one whose back her teammates would see, that she’d be the one to save them from then on—and to sign that pact, she cut her hair with a kunai (after she’d let it grow for so long to please Sasuke), and fought against three ninjas that clearly outranked her, all by herself.
After this, came the chunin exams, which Sakura failed, but where at least she’d done the good deed of fixing up her friendship with Ino. But all wasn’t fun and games, especially not when Sasuke left the village to join Orochimaru. She tried to stop him, but he rendered her unconscious and left her with the words ‘thank you’. Soon after, she made a pact with Naruto that together, they’d bring Sasuke back. Naruto went on his separate way to train with Jiraiya, and Sakura requested to be taken in as Tsunade’s apprentice.
Three years later, at fifteen years of age, Sakura changed into a more mature young woman. She grew more confident of herself, and stronger—now the first to become a chunin in her team of three. Her strength, coupled with her medical expertise, her quick temper, and the beauty she gained over the time has caused many to see Sakura as another Tsunade, and even capable of eventually surpassing Tsunade herself. She proved her worth in a battle against an Akatsuki member—where only she survived. She also opened up more to Naruto, growing to be very protective of him—on occasions jumping in front of him to make him snap out of the kyuubi’s control—,which does not mean, of course, that she won’t smack him for being an idiot, when he is one. By now, Sakura seems to be the most reasonable one in her new team—with Sai replacing Sasuke—though her temper still gets the best of her.
No matter how much she may change, there is one thing that always remains: Sakura will do anything to save Sasuke and return him to Konoha, and she will do anything to help Naruto.
