You stay in your bunk, letting the after-effects of your disorienting dream wash away. You ask who the strange gray-haired soldier is. "I'm Trask Ulgo, ensign with the Republic Fleet. I'm your bunk mate here on the Endar Spire. We work opposite shifts; I guess that's why you haven't seen me before. Now hurry up, he adds, "we have to find Bastila! We have to make sure she makes it off the ship alive!"
You feel like telling him you'd rather look after your own skin, but this Commander Bastila feels important; her name resonates as you ask Ulgo about her. "Bastila's the commanding officer on the Endar Spire," Trask explains. "Well, not an officer, really. But she's the one in charge of the mission." He goes on to outline your duties, and the oath you can't quite recall taking. "I've heard all about your reputation," the elder soldier enthuses. "Elite combat training, tops of your class. It's no wonder you were hand-picked for this mission. Word is the officers haven't seen a recruit with your kind of potential in twenty years." You feel a swell of pride at this. "But all that potential doesn't mean a thing if you can't deliver when it counts!"
