History
The band has released several full-length albums and singles. Their most recent release is a compilation of previously released material, Sewed Soles. The complilation was released quickly after East Grand Blues, an EP for V2 Records, which was produced by Detroit musician Brendan Benson. The band's collaboration with Holly Golightly, "There Is an End", was the theme song of Jim Jarmusch's 2005 film, Broken Flowers.

- Jack Lawrence is also the banjo and autoharp player in cowpunk band Blanche.
- Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler make up the rhythm section for the Jack White/Brendan Benson project called The Raconteurs.
- Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler were also the rhythm section for the Do-Whaters, a band formed specifically for the 2004 Loretta Lynn album, Van Lear Rose, by Jack White. The Do-Whaters also featured Dave Feeny, a pedal steel player from Blanche.
