The Battle Marshes
From Storing Don
No one lives in the Battle Marshes save the brave Lequallian Stalkers, who constantly sweep the hotly contested territory for Illyrian activity. The scene of more battle in the fifty years since the Sundering than any place on the continent (not even fallen Ilia comes close), the Battle Marshes have been scarred and pitted from the spells thrown by both sides. Not a single place in the Marshes is more or less devastated than any other - the Illyrians and Lequallians are quite indiscriminate about what they are destroying.
The Battle Marshes has one aspect about it that makes it very odd. The concentration of Dark Magic has caused several of the many corpses to animate, and in various places, the Battle Marshes are home to contingents of skeletal, undead Lequallians. These corpses continue their fight against the Illyrians, but they hate the living, and live Lequallians would be advised to stay away from them.
[edit] Undead Lequallians
- 1500 Immortals
- 2000 War Mages
- 1000 Hoplites
- 5000 Stalkers
- 1500 Snipers
- 1000 Heroes
- 1000 Swordmasters
The Undead Lequallians have all of the skill that their life gave them, but they are tirelessly strong and tough - pain has no meaning to them, and a blow that would kill a person from nerve overload merely phases them. They are, though, a bit slower than they were in life.
