Talk:The Simpsons ULTIMATE Fan Club

From Stmargarets

Tom fails to mention that before The Simpsons DVD's saved the club by providing more episodes, the club was kept afloat by the contributions of "flakey" Jim Warren, who provided his own VHS tapes from seasons 2 and 3. These tapes filled in the time between the "Political Party" era and the DVD era.

It should also be noted that this "flakey" Mr. Warren has no recollection of being asked to sponsor the club. And if his memory on this is faulty and he was indeed asked to be the initial sponsor, it is nevertheless absolutely true that no kids ever followed up by arranging details with Mr. Warren regarding meeting times or locations.

Another thing missing from the club history is the fact that "flakey" Mr. Warren filled in for Mr. Rice when Mr. Rice had a string of absences. True, this provided good Simpson viewing and pizza for the big flake, but it also made it possible for meetings to occur, since a faculty member was required.
