Of course, not all members of Sodor Island Forums are only members of that sole forum. Many frequent several other, smaller ones to do with Thomas the Tank Engine, while others are part of large forums with wide ranging subjects, and in some cases, use jokes from those forums on SiF.

Thehalford
:garthp:
:garthp: is a favourite saying of Thehalford, although not many people realise what exactly it means. It is in fact the equivalent of rolling one's eyes.
In truth, Thehalford did not create :garthp:. A member of another forum he frequents, named 'garth p', responded to almost every argument he found himself in with a single eye-rolling emoticon. This became so frequent that the admin of the forum – with enthusiastic support from the general populace – created a special emoticon in homage to garth p and his eye rolling ways.
Potato Scallops & Mike and the Mechanics
Indeed, :garthp: is not the only thing Thehalford has lifted from that particular forum. In A Very SiF Summer Holiday's second episode, a scene debating the correct name for "Slices of potato dipped in batter and deep-fried" was a result of a long running frivolous argument on that forum, while in the third episode, "Wolfy" howls during the playing of a Mike and the Mechanics song. This comes from when Thehalford had posted the complete lyrics to that song and the member 'Wolfister' replied by saying "It's all fun and games until someone quotes Mike and the Mechanics".
These are but three of the countless in-jokes the other forum has as part of the woodwork, and it is likely that Thehalford will shamelessly use them on Sodor Island Forums in future.
