Well, my name is Elizabeth Truitt, or else as I'm known, gotSTEAM?. I've been a member of the Sodor Island Forums since 2 July, 2004 - I registered on my 17th birthday. The SiF is a special place for me, as I can only fit into the world here.

=Within SiF

I'm known here for my artwork, and my eccentric though interesting ideas. I've been known to make trains fly with feathered wings, give them magical powers beyond that of the Golden Engine, Lady, and so on. I can also come up with elaborate backstories as well. My artwork is often colourful, and I've gotten a lot of positive feedback.

As a fan of Thomas, I adore the characters Oliver, Peter Sam, Douglas, Lady, and Molly. Other favourites are Fergus, Murdoch, and all the Narrow-Gauge engines. I've never been a fan of road characters, but I do like Elizabeth the Vintage Quarry Truck and Kelly the Crane. Thomas himself was never a favourite character of mine, but nonetheless, I love him anyway ^_^

You'll find that I'm more of a dreamer, then a stickler for realism. I don't mind a lot of the changes that have gone on with the TV Series, though I am tired of the sugarcoating and such. However I am very hopeful that the Railway Series will come back into print - the WHOLE series, mind!

=SiF's Influences

The SiF is a prominent part of my day, where I spend a lot of time. I spend most of my time in the fan areas, but can be in other places too. I've gone into the redubbing projects a few times, playing a female character when asked. I'm a better artist then anything else, really. Because of the kindness of the members there, I've relaxed a lot and don't fear posting like I used to. Also, the SiF has provided me with a sweet young man to call 'my love' - Aidan ^_^ This was a secret that I confessed to in lieu of the 4th Anniversary. I'd get into the details, but it's quite a long story!

=Outside of SiF

Outside the Forums, I attend college and am majoring in Graphic Design. I also enjoy reading books and tending to my pets - five female Siamese cats and several fish. I don't drive a car, I have no license and am terrified of driving XD I have ADHD and Asperger's Syndrome, but have gotten a lot better due to maturity. I pride myself on my ability to understand anything, despite it's complexity.

In the area of further education, I am actually quite adverse XD I hate college, really, and would prefer to be in a less accelerated course - my current schedule allows for little freedom in planning anything. Still, I manage to keep myself from being too busy with college, and still having fun. In a year or so, I will obtain my Associate's Degree, and then I will transfer out and into a school in Virginia - for the experience of living somewhere totally new and being closer to my fiancé.

I'm actually rather oblivious about things, mostly the latest music or fashion. I could care less about movies and music, and most fashions XD In fact, the last movie I actually saw was the Polar Express back in December of 2004! I'm really into older music, and music that is considered timeless, like the Beatles. I do like a couple modern artists, namely Josh Groban and a little Britney Spears.

=Conclusion

I've been through a lot in life, but now I'm on the fast track to freedom and happiness XD I have a close circle of friends, and a lot to look forward to. I'm doing well in school, and with the help of the SiF, I'll go quite far!
