Emily Marie Briet-Rushlan (b. June 19, 1977), known as Emi Rushlan or the handle MNEmichan, is an independent tape cultist from Provincetown, MA. She was originally a tail for her husband Kyle, who brought the video home after a Seattle business trip.

She is also one of the first to distribute the video digitally in 2005, having ripped and shared her copy of the video on the WinMX peer-to-peer system. The obscurity of such a video on the network led to her share not being copied and watched until literally the last minute.

She has connections all over the world due to a supernatural network she refuses to go into much detail about, and this has led to her being one of the primary sources of background information about the video.

After Erika's site and forums were shut down by the movie studio filming partially-fictionalized accounts of Rachel Keller's experiences, Rushlan then set up the "RINGS Communities" website and forums in conjunction with Bazoo. The site remains active today, though the forums were shut down first in 2011, and again in 2013 after a short-lived revival. Since such forums are no longer in wide use on the Internet anymore, Rushlan has now set up a Facebook page to serve the same purpose.
