A small, rundown storefront that's managed to cling tenaciously to its downtown location like a fungus. Beat Me is a music store, for musicians and the truly hardcore music geek - stocking a wide variety of classic music, classical music and indie bands, as well as instruments. It even handles instrument repair and restoration, usually at the hands of the store-owner - an aging punk named Marius and his new apprentice, Lucia.

The Red Carpet is a "gentleman's club", owned and operated by Rosetta. In addition to providing nightly cabaret and strip-shows, it also provides more...personal attention for its wealthy and discreet clientele. Virginia works here as a dancer, but doesn't know anything about her employer.
