Appearance
Impeccable and professional. Luca's clothes are always clean, pressed and neat-looking. His short dark hair never looks ruffled and is neatly combed every morning. His frame is lean but not scrawny. He has a relatively long neck and broad shoulders. Due to being a bit of a narcissist, he takes a really good care of his appearance. He also tends to dress sharp and professional even outside of work since he doesn't like casual clothes.
History
Luca was born in Paris, France to an upper class family. His father was a rich Italo-french business man and his mother a Miss France runner up from an old money family. His childhood was relatively pampered and he managed to get his way most of the time. By the time he was a teenager, his parents realized he was too much of a problem, so they sent him to a boarding school, Second Heaven.
He was a rebellious teenager, not wanting to take orders from his parents, teachers or anyone. His first year in Second Heaven was his worst one, but he started mellowing down by the second one and by the third one he wasn't so bad. Having a passion for the Japanese language and finding inspiration in one of his teachers, he decided to study to become a teacher.
Of course, his parents didn't agree with this as he was supposed to be the heir to the company. But Luca didn't want to listen to their whims since he valued his freedom and his own choices over anything else. He was about to run away from home when his parents gave up. They decided to let him have his way (again) and rise their younger son to be the heir. Luca would give up sooner or later, they thought. Wrong. He finished his studies and soon after started looking for a job.
He applied to many schools and none accepted him. Some said he was too young, some others said they preferred a native speaker and some others had the job filled. Months passed and he wasn't able to get a job. This annoyed and frustrated him greatly as his parents didn't lose a chance to point out how stupid he was for keeping up with his foolishness. The waiting was driving him crazy, he wanted to move away and prove them wrong. Nevertheless, the waiting proved to be fruitful. Second Heaven was in dire need of a replacement for their Japanese teacher since he had to leave for reasons Luca couldn't care less about. Luca accepted and moved to Schubert immediately. He had proved his parents wrong so far, he just needed to show them he could do the job.
Personality
Keywords: dignified, ambitious, sharp, demanding, stubborn, bossy.
Luca isn't an unpleasant man, but he isn't exactly pleasant either. He tries keeping a neutral and composed disposition most of the time, but sometimes his temper doesn't allow him to. He hates being contradicted or criticized and he reacts poorly to both even to the point of being malicious. However, he's no idiot and knows when to shut up if the other person has power over him. Noticeably self-centered and vain. He loves when people praise him and loathes when they depreciate him.
He doesn't give up easily and is rather obstinate. Even when he knows he's wrong he'd rather keep arguing or ignoring the person than agreeing and accepting he was wrong. His remarks tend to be sharp and ironic, sometimes very sarcastic. He is somewhat hard to get along with since he enjoys poking fun at people and their problems. It's not that he doesn't care, he just thinks they should be able to take care of them without complaining.
His smiles tend to have an edge of derision and scorn even when they are good natured. This isn't on purpose, it's just a bad habit he hasn't been able to get rid off. He usually enjoys having a conversation, be it because you're interesting or because he's making fun out of you. He can be quite charming if he wants to, usually to get what he wants. He's very confident of his own abilities often to the point of annoying people. While he doesn't accept critiques, he does give them out and they tend to be destructive.
He dislikes shouting and yelling. If a student doesn't listen to him, he tends to: A) Assign them more homework or B) Give the whole classroom a quiz. He figures that if they don't get scared of the quizzes the person's classmates will do the rest of the job for him. He also dislikes rebellious students as they remind him of himself when he was a teenager... Which is why he tries to help them in his own special way. He's a very demanding teacher, but he doesn't go out of his way to fail his students. Failing a student is like failing as a teacher for him not a goal to look forward to. All in all, he rather enjoys doing his job.
