Random Facts About Memoria
From Secondchance
long is the way, and hard, that out of hell leads up to light.
-Milton, Paradise Lost
- 1. Every day, Sene creates something. He won't let himself sleep until he has made something: a way to try to prove to himself that he is capable of creation, not only destruction.
- 2. Memoria's first memory of her uncle was of a man tall and proud and strong: even though he was only a mortal, she idolized him the most.
- 3. He has come to realize that not all Anathema are monsters. He still, however, firmly counts himself in that category-for no matter what good he may have done since, he was still capable of that, and he can still feel dark seeds stirring in him. Only a monster would have done what he did, after all.
- 4. Sene misses his long hair, no matter that he keeps it trimmed short. Sometimes, he is tempted to grow it out again, and it is then that he reaches for the scissors and cuts it off again.
- 5. Sometimes, when the guilt presses too close, Sene reminds himself of the reward that waits for him, once he finally balances out all his sins with good. He's a monster who doesn't belong in the world, but he cannot allow himself to die until everything's all balanced out. He doesn't deserve it yet.
- 6. He doesn't care about building a legacy - as far as he's concerned, Memoria's already carved her legacy out of the ashes of Ameraille, and neither of them deserve to be remembered for anything else.
- 7. Sene doesn't pray to anyone, be it the Dragons or the Maidens or Luna or the Unconquered Sun or any of the lesser gods.
