Stubborn is putting it mildly. Impulsive, moody, and turning into a cynic as well. She's fiercely protective over her family and is affectionate to the right people. The events over the last year have brought out a darker side of Claire that she's struggling with. She's easily hurt and tends to hold a grudge.

After the virus was released, Claire struggled with seeing millions of people die and the effect it had on the Earth. After the family relocated to Lake Shasta up in the northern part of California, Claire made the decision to leave her family and go out on her own. Not for fun but rather she traveled from town to town, looking for people that she could heal with her blood. She never stayed in one place for long because there were always more people to help heal and she knew her dad would look for her, to bring her back home.
