[edit] Physical Description
Autumn is 5'8" tall. She has an average figure, soft curves but no muscle tone to speak of, fair skin dusted lightly with freckles, straight brown hair worn long, and brown eyes. Her mouth is her most distinguishing physical characteristic--her lips are very full and wide, and her smile is big and bright. She usually dresses very modestly, though she will, on occasion, show a bit of skin; girls do like to be girly, after all. She wears glasses for reading, black plastic cat-eye frames.
[edit] Personality
Patient and soft-hearted, somewhat shy and soft-spoken. Autumn hates conflict, arguments and for anyone to raise their voice in anger. She bruises easily, both physically and emotionally, and she has a tendency towards meekness and doormat behavior in some cases. Reasonably intelligent, reasonably well read, there isn't much that makes Autumn particularly extraordinary, aside from having an ability. She is very much a teacher and automatically takes a nurturing, caretaker's approach to every situation.
[edit] History
[edit] Before the Virus
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York to two parents who were, once upon a time, free spirited bohemians who later decided they'd rather be sell outs and have money than be broke, freezing, hungry, and have a cause, mostly because their daughter began to show symptoms of a rare blood disorder around four years of age. Aside from not being allowed to play dodge ball or kick ball or any of the other fun games her friends would play in the school yard because of her condition, Autumn's childhood was relatively normal. Her grades were good, she graduated in the top 20 of her high school class, went to a good college and became an elementary school teacher.
She had a normal and boring life, as normal and boring a life as a New Yorker can have. She dated a little, taught her classes, kept up her tiny apartment. Life was good. Ordinary. Normal.
Then one day while she was crossing the street, a road-raged motorcyclist ignored a red-light and would have run her and several people around her over if not for the force field she generated in front of them.
Not quite so normal or boring after that.
[edit] After the Virus
The virus hit hard, and as with so many sicknesses, the weak, the old, and the very young are the first victims. Though she lost her parents and has no idea if any of the rest of her family--aunts, uncles, cousins--might have survived, she did, via an injection of Adam Monroe's donated blood. Having decided there is nothing she can do to help rebuild if she stays in Brooklyn, she made her way to Eden.

[edit] Random Facts
- Her full name is Misty Autumn Dawn Inman. Yes, her parents were odd.
- She likes cats, but is a little afraid of dogs.
- She seems to have near unending patience when it comes to children (or adults that simply act like children)
- She suffers from idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, also known as Werlhof's disease, which basically means that her immune system has a tendency to destroy her blood platelets, and the exact cause is unknown. It causes bruising, nosebleeds, and occasional petechia. It also means her blood does not clot as it should. The condition was much more acute in childhood than it is now. She takes prednisone for this condition to keep it under control, and most of the time suffers from no symptoms or side-effects whatsoever. However since medication hasn't exactly been easy to obtain, she's been feeling some of the ill effects of the condition.
