ESNW

Use this when cultures need brackish water. That means it is part salt water and part DI water.

Some of the cultures we have that are kept in this media include: Tetreutreptia pomquetensis (TET) Petalomonas cantuscygni (PCT)

ESNW Recipe

  1. Autoclave 989mL filtered, sterilized seawater (or use 989mL of Artificial Seawater
  2. Using sterile technique, add 10mL of the Nutrients and Trace Metals solution (This is brown and stored in the -20C. If stock solution is out, see first table below on how to make it again.)
  3. Using sterile technique, add 1mL of the ESNW Vitamins solution (This is pink and stored in -20C. If stock solution is out, see second table below on how to make it again.)
