Welcome to Prosomawi Media. We are a media production think-and-do tank, founded in November 2011. The word "Prosomawi" stands for ''programming'', ''social media'', ''mailing lists'', and ''wikis''. We try to find fields of knowledge that don't have an official website, and make a website for them. For example, we have never heard of a forum for glass-makers, so we're building [[Vitripedia]], a place for glass-makers to communicate. Another example is people who convert cassettes to digital. I haven't found a mailing list/forum for them yet. We do services for both our own good and the good of others. We are a production tank.

* Make applications using JavaScript or the Windows Batch system, and visually design pages using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
+
-
* Set up websites (usually wikis) with web hosts like Editthis.info

-
* Make images, audio, PDF's and many other types of files available for free by setting up FileUpYours.com servers for you.
+
-
* Set up Facebook "like pages" and Twitter follow-pages (and other types of social media) for musicians or some other types of people wanting to get their name out there.

-
* (for musicians) Get an article about you published in Wiki Music Guide (WMG), a free online music publication. Obviously, we'll need to interview you for that one.

-
* (for musicians and other professionals) Get an article about you/your business in the Encyclopedia Encyc. We'll probably need to interview you for that.

* Set up a mailing list/newsletter for you. Usually, we write the newsletter for you. We set it up through a special service, 99% of the time it will be Freelists, but we might use Topica or FanBridge if the list goes against Freelist's guidelines. We maintain these mailing lists; monitor/administer them, filter out spam, etc.

* Help set up a blog for you/your business. We don't have THAT much experience with Blogger or Wordpress, but we're crawling up the technology ladder.

We currently do NOT:

-
* Register top-level domains. We might need to let a skilled domain manager into our production tank before that will ever happen.

-
* Make complex computer applications that require regular Java, C, C++, C#, or any other compiled programming language. Only interpreted ones, like JavaScript.

-
* Help sell your music. Prosomawi isn't a distribution service. As I said, we can publish information about you in WMG, Encyc, and other such sites, but we don't use Amazon for are services yet.

So, if we can do anything for you, then [[project:contact|contact us]]. As you can see, we can set up a website for your business, but, currently, we can not give you a top-level domain. Most likely, your URL will be something like www.NameOfBusiness.editthis.info, but don't worry. We'll tell you before the URL is registered, so, if you don't like it, you can just ask us to use another wiki host/blog host/site host.

Welcome to Prosomawi Media. We are a media production think-and-do tank, founded in November 2011. The word "Prosomawi" stands for programming, social media, mailing lists, and wikis. We try to find fields of knowledge that don't have an official website, and make a website for them. For example, we have never heard of a forum for glass-makers, so we're building Vitripedia, a place for glass-makers to communicate. Another example is people who convert cassettes to digital. I haven't found a mailing list/forum for them yet. We do services for both our own good and the good of others. We are a production tank.

Other websites

Prosomawi makes use of the following websites. (The links below are external; that means they lead to other websites, not other pages on the Prosomawi server).

  • EditThis.info, the web host that hosts this very website. Most likely, if you don't know about EditThis.info and how to register a website (or you don't know how to administer it), you can pull us in, and we'll do it for you.
  • Freelists, the ma in Prosomawi, they are the company we register with when a client of ours wants a mailing list, usually. For those who don't know how to set up a mailing list (or at least don't know how to manage one), then come to us.
  • FanBridge, something we will use probably 0.009% of the time, when that mailing list we tried to get you gets rejected by Freelists, because Freelists only hosts lists on a few subjects.
  • Topica, something we use 0.000000009% of the time, when your mailing list has a businessy flair that Freelists doesn't like. Right now, we have NO topica experience, and that's good. We believe that we would rarely need it, and, if that one in a million chance were to happen today, then I would go to topica.com with one other person, just to see it, and to pull our stuff together.
  • WMG, for musicians. If you happen to be a musician signing up for a website with us, we can interview you (if you want us to), and we can submit an article about you to the WMG, Wiki Music Guide. People will know about you, and it will give your website that DoFollow effect, coming from a simplistic wiki.
  • The Encyc, an encyclopedia where most of the WMG articles will be copied to. After all, an article on two sites is better than just one. And Encyc is more than just a music site; it's an encyclopedia, so if you're a professional of any kind, we can interview you for Encyc.
  • File Up Yours, a free little server company. If you want free downloadable content (for example, some musicians want free sample downloads for fans), File Up Yours is a file storage space. In order to do that, you have to be willing to give your email address to the File Up Yours server. You don't even need to visit the site, ever in your life! Part of our job is to check and maintain all the servers (accounts) that we set up for our clients.

Thanks for checking us out. Now, go check out the sidebar for more information about us, how to contact us, and everything else you need to know to do business with us.
