Radio Julie was a pirate radio station, started in 1985 in the Merseyside area which broadast on 104.8 FM.
The station was set up by Andy Davies, real name Andrew Dobbing, a radio hobbyist who died in August 2005. Several people in pirate radio joined Radio Julie and most of the shows were pre-recorded. In 1986, Dave collins joined the station, as did Dave Collins, Tom Webb and Jim Lowe from Concept Radio, Tony West, Mark W., Joe Williams, Andy Rogers, Dave Moore' and Steve Mason and many more.
Radio Julie was eventually raided several times and Andy was prosecuted.[1]
