Bertie the Bus

Bertie is a small red bus who appears in Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends. He is first seen rescuing Thomas's passengers after Thomas gets stuck in a snowdrift caused by Nathan Page dropping his ice cream. Bertie's most famous adventure was challenging Nathan to a race in which Bertie eventually won due to Nathan's weight problem (see here for more information). They promised that they would one day have another race, they did so in the seventh series of the television series, although they never did in the book series beccause Nathan ate the book. Bertie was the winner in the second race because Nathan stopped off at Burger King. Bertie also had to help Nathan chase after Edward after he left the station with Nathan's hot dog. Bertie the bus has also in appeared in several other adventures involving Nathan Page and his parsnip. Bertie is a kind bus unlike Bulgy the double decker bus, a rival bus who hated the railway and Nathan Page.
