Staves

From Mumepedia

There are 6 Oak Trees on Arda (which load oak branches) - 2 near NOC, 1 in the circle of stones in NOC area, 2 in Eregion (Khuzur/Tall Orc) and 1 in Dunland (near foresters). But at the one time can be popped only 2 of them. Branches decay in few hours rl after you get them from tree, so watch out for time.

The different kinds of embeddable objects are divided in 2 groups; Metal and Jewels.
Metal:

  1. Huge Silver Bracer
  2. Chunk of Metal
  3. Bar of Iron

All of those above are almost equal. The Bar of Iron is slighty heavier than the Chunk of metal and the Huge Silver Bracer. Only a few pounds though, so it is of no real importance. But if you have the choice, do choose the lighter one. A staff can have one, two or three metal embeds, but not two of the same kind.
Every piece of metal embed into the staff makes it stronger, better for parrying. You will notice that the staff itself is like a shield with 15pb. Each metal-piece adds another 5pb, up to a maximum of 30pb, just as good as a Bejewelled shield.
Offensive Jewels:

  1. Lustrous Opal
  2. Corberyl

All your attackspells will strike harder, make more damage. For you scholars out there, these jewels add +10 attackspell to your staff. Remember, a staff can only hold 1 jewel, or their powers will battle, and only 1 will be of use.
Defensive Jewels:

  1. Star Sapphire

This jewel increases your resistance towards spells directed at you. You will have -20 spellsave when holding this staff. Remember, this jewel is also counted in the max one jewel.
