Birdo first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 2 as the first boss, where Mario, Luigi Princess Peach or Toad must jump on an egg he spits at them, lift it up and throw it back at Birdo. She has appeared in multiple Mario spin-off series since, sometimes as a playable character. If you are confused about its gender, so is it so don't worry about it..

In the Mario Kart Series, Birdo is a middleweight character in the Mario Kart Series paired with Yoshi.Her special item which is the same as Yoshis item special is an egg. When thrown it goes after the player in front of it and when it hits them, three items break out of the egg.To unlock Birdo, you have to beat 250 people in online play, or play 16 races in Time Trials.
