TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs is a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by IWE, which will take place on December 15, 2013, at Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The event will be the fifth TLC event, and IWE's last pay-per-view event in 2013. The theme of the event is that most matches will involve tables, ladders, or chairs.

[edit] Background

TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs will feature professional wrestling matches that involve wrestlers from pre-existing feuds, plots, and storylines that will play out on IWE's primary television programs, Raw and SmackDown. Wrestlers will portray villains or heroes as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.

The main rivalry heading into TLC features the World Heavyweight Champion, Dustin Simpson, and the IWE Champion, Kevin McAlmond, over who is the proverbial "face of the IWE". Ever since SummerSlam in August, McAlmond has been engaged in a feud with Kody Brown over the IWE Championship, and owing to his alliance with The Authority (Triple K and Kaila Matteson), finally settled his rivalry with Bryan at the Hell in a Cell event, defeating him in a Hell in a Cell match to win the IWE title for the eighth time. However, over time, The Authority started showing doubt over Orton's ability to win matches on his own accord. To prove he still was their chosen "face of the IWE", McAlmond was made to defend his championship against the anti-Authority Big Show at Survivor Series in November, who McAlmond defeated to retain his title, but only after Big Show was distracted by Triple K. Concurrently, Simpson defeated Alberto Del Rio at Survivor Series to retain his World Heavyweight Championship in a rematch from the Hell in a Cell event, where Simpson returned from an elbow injury seemingly before schedule, yet still defeated Del Rio to win the title for the third time. After McAlmond's victory at Survivor Series, Simpson came down to the ring with his title, and celebrated with the crowd as The Authority looked on, much to McAlmond's chagrin. The next night, on the November 25 episode of Raw, after another confrontation between the two world champions, Triple K announced that McAlmond will face Simpson in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match, with both the IWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship on the line, at the TLC pay-per-view, with the winner becoming the "Champion of Champions". A poll was taken by the IWE Universe to get their opinion on what name should be given to the new champion; they decided on (though not officially sanctioned) "The Unified Champion".

Since late October, CM Punk and Kody Brown have both been assaulted by the eerie Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper), which led to a tag team match at Survivor Series in November with Punk and Brown going up against - and defeating - Harper and Rowan. The next night, on the November 26 episode of Raw, Brown was (kayfabe) "abducted" by the Wyatt Family, while Punk was ambushed by The Shield, another notorious three-man faction consisting of Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. On the December 2 episode of Raw, Punk tried tracing back the reason for the attack on him to Triple K, believing he called for Punk to be taken out for the latter's rebellious comments against The Authority. After these allegations were rebuked by Triple K's wife, Kaila Matteson, IWE's (kayfabe) Director of Operations, Kane, also came out to support The Authority, and after being insulted by Punk, announced a three-on-one handicap match at the TLC event, pitting Punk against all three members of The Shield. Also, on the same night, after defeating Erick Rowan, Brown too was put in a three-on-one handicap match by Kane - much like Punk - to face all three members of the Wyatt Family at the TLC pay-per-view.

Another championship match at the TLC pay-per-view will see AJ Lee defending the IWE Divas Championship against Shannon. At Survivor Series, Shannon, along with Nikki Bella, were the "Survivors" after making AJ submit in a seven-on-seven Survivor Series elimination match between the "True Divas" and the Total Divas. On the December 2 episode of Raw, Shannon pinned AJ, to secure a victory for her team in a six-Diva tag team match. After this string of non-title wins, Shannon was officially announced to challenge AJ for the Divas Championship at the TLC event.

Also, on the December 2 edition of Raw, Damien Sandow defeated Dolph Ziggler to earn the right to face Big E Langston for the latter's IWE Intercontinental Championship at the TLC event.

Also, at the December 10 taping of SmackDown (airing on December 13), it was announced that Mark Semmler and Goldust will defend the IWE Tag Team Championship against The Real Americans (Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro), Ryback and Curtis Axel, and Big Show and Rey Mysterio in a Fatal Four Way tag team match at the pay-per-view.

The TLC Kickoff preshow features Fandango squaring off against Dolph Ziggler. This match was announced at the 2013 Slammy Awards edition of Raw on December 9, 2013.

[edit] Event

The Kickoff match was Fandango vs. Dolph Ziggler. The bell rings after Ziggler gets to the ring and Fandango knocks Ziggler down with a shoulder block. Ziggler comes back with his trademark dropkick. Fandango back drops Ziggler to the outside as we head to a commercial for TLC on tablets and Smartphones. When we return we see Fandango with a headlock on Ziggler. Ziggler side suplexes his way out of it. He mounts Fandango for a series of punches to the face and the he hits a running clothesline for a near fall. He gets another two count after a Fame-asser. The two men exchange offense while Summer Rae cheers on Fandango outside the ring. Fandango goes to the top and Ziggler knocks him down. Fandango recovers and he hits the flying leg drop to pick up the win.

The first match was pay-per-view was CM Punk taking on The Shield (Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins). Punk starts off against Ambrose. They lock up, but break it up before anything happens. They lock up again and Ambrose puts on a waistlock. Punk gets out and they lock up again. Punk does a nice little combination to take Ambrose down. Rollins tags in after Punk tells Ambrose to give someone else a shot. Punk goes to the outside to play a little mind games with Rollins. Rollins goes out and Punk goes back in at the same time. Rollins comes back in and Punk hits him with kicks and shoulders to the mid-section in the corner. A couple of nasty back elbows lead to Punk hitting Rollins with a trio of neckbreakers. The crowd chanted one more time as he hit the third neckbreaker. Rollins tries to fight his way to the corner for a tag and he eventually reaches Roman Reigns. Reigns finally gets Punk to his team's corner, but Punk knocks Rollins and Ambrose off the apron. Reigns takes him down and hits a series of shots to the face before tagging in Rollins. Ambrose comes in to continue the punishment. The pace has really slowed down as Reigns comes in. Punk gets in a few shots, but he gets taken right back down with a massive clothesline. Reigns goes for a Spear outside the ring, but Punk moves and Reigns goes flying right over the announce table, taking a nasty fall in the process. Reigns is favoring his eye and Punk goes right for it with his thumb. Reigns uses his power to send Punk right over the top rope, allowing him to tag in Rollins. Rollins goes over and puts Punk back in the ring, but Punk ends up recovering and they start exchanging shots. Rollins ends up taking Punk down with a kick to the back of the head for a close two count. The doc looks at Reigns to see if his eye is too hurt for him to continue while Punk builds momentum against Rollins. Punk locks in the Anaconda Vise, but Ambrose breaks it up and then tags himself in to keep beating on Punk. He puts Punk on the top rope for something, but Punk hits a big headbutt to knock Ambrose down to the mat. Punk gets up on the top rope and hits the Macho Man Elbow for a two count. Punk hits the GTS on Rollins, but Ambrose breaks out of it. Reigns Spears Ambrose by accident and Punk throws him out of the ring so he can pin Ambrose and pick up the win.
