From Iwe
The 2023 Day 1 is the second annual Day 1 professional wrestling live event produced by IWE. It will be held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. The event will air on pay-per-view (PPV) worldwide and will be available to livestream through Peacock in the United States and the IWE Network internationally. It is scheduled to take place on January 1, 2023, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

On January 1, 2022, the American professional wrestling promotion IWE held a New Year's Day event titled Day 1 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. On July 29, 2022, it was announced that Day 1 would be held again at the same venue on January 1, 2023, thus establishing Day 1 as an annual New Year's Day event for IWE. In addition to airing on traditional pay-per-view worldwide, it will be available to livestream on Peacock in the United States and the IWE Network in international markets, and it will feature wrestlers from the Raw and SmackDown brands. Tickets will go on sale on August 23, 2022.

The event will include matches that result from scripted storylines, where wrestlers portray heroes, villains, or less distinguishable characters in scripted events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches. Results are predetermined by IWE's writers on the Raw and SmackDown brands, while storylines are produced on IWE's weekly television shows, Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown.
