List of WIW Die Hard 24/7 Heavymetal Champions
From Iwe
The WIW Die Hard 24/7 Heavymetal Championship is a professional wrestling championship created and promoted by the American professional wrestling promotion WIW. The championship carries the special rule that it can be defended "24/7", as in any time, anywhere, as long as a WIW referee is present. Because of this rule, the championship is defended across all of WIW's brands: Rage, ShowDown, Dynanite Live, NGW, and NGW MD, as well as outside of regular WIW shows, often with videos posted on WIW's website and social media accounts. It is similar to the previous WIW Hardcore/Extreme Championship, which also had a "24/7 rule".
The title was introduced on the May 22, 2019, episode of Wednesday Night Raw where Rage wrestler Ryan Garr became the inaugural champion by securing the championship first in a scramble involving several other wrestlers.
As of November 15, 2024, there have been twelve reigns between eight wrestlers. ShowDown's Joe Smith has the most reigns at eight with his fifth reign being the longest at 13 days. Only two wrestlers have held the title for longer than a day: Smith and current champion Scott Bruening. ShowDown's Craig Sandvig has the shortest reign for his first reign, which lasted only 10 seconds, as after winning the title, he immediately lost it back to Joe Smith.
