Money in the Bank (2013) is an upcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by IWE, which will take place on July 14, 2013 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Background
Money in the bank will feature professional wrestling matches that involve wrestlers from pre-existing feuds, plots, and storylines that play out on IWE's primary television programs, Raw and SmackDown. Wrestlers will portray villains or heroes as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.
At IWE Payback, the last pay-per-view event produced by IWE, it was announced that Rob Van Dam, who last appeared for IWE in 2009, would return to the company.
On the June 17th episode of Raw, IWE Champion Dustin Simpson, in an in-ring speech, thanked the fans who hung in there and supported him, and warned whoever won the IWE Title contract in the Money in the Bank ladder match that he would be ready for them. Steven Larson then came out to seemingly announce his retirement. When Simpson went to hug Larson and wish him well, Larson attacked him by hitting him with the World's Strongest Slam. Vince Matteson later announced that Cena would defend the IWE Title against Henry at the PPV.
