1 Year Anniversary Show is a special show featuring the AEW Superstars and Starlets. The show will take place on October 1, 2012 and will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York. The main event of the night will be for the Triple threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship new Champion Bray Wyatt defending against former champion Colt Cabana and Summer of Destiny tournament winner Eric Young, The AEW Light Heavyweight Championship, AEW Tag Team Championship will also be on the line. The AEW Television Championship as promised will be defended every Monday starting at this event.

Background
The main event match for the show will be the new World Heavyweight Champion Bray Wyatt defending against the World Heavyweight Championship against the former World Heavyweight Champion Colt Cabana and the winner to the Summer of Destiny tournament Eric Young. At the Rapture pay-per-view, Wyatt defeated Cabana to win the World Heavyweight Championship and was added to the match after the title match at Rapture.
Another title match for the show is for the AEW Tag Team Championship with the AEW Tag Team Champions Team Canada (Bobby Roode and Chris Jericho) defend the Tag Team Championships against the returning team of Samoa Joe and The Rock. At Summer of Destiny Bobby Roode and Chris Jericho defeated The Void (Raven and CM Punk) and The Legacy (Ted Dibiase and Cody Rhodes) to win the Tag Team Championship, A few episodes of Concussion lead to the returning team of Joe and Rock to challenge for the Tag Team titles at the 1 Year Show.
Another title match for the show is for the AEW Light Heavyweight Championship with the only AEW Light Heavyweight Champion Petey Williams (accompanied by Coach D'Amore and Maryse) defending the AEW Light Heavyweight Championship against the No. 1 contender tot he title AJ Styles (accompanied by Jimmy Hart and Angelina Love). Williams as been defending the Light Heavyweight Championship for months a 300 day reign coming near with the storyline being known as "Day's of Dominance". Since December 18th, 2011 atThe Last Stand of 2011 Petey Williams has been the Light Heavyweight Championship, On the September 17, 2012 episode of Concussion Williams defeated Shannon Moore to retain the Light Heavyweight Championship, The next week on Concussion (September 24, 2012) Styles went on to defeat Shannon Moore in a singles match with a move he had not used for years Spiral Tap. It is said that both men still have a great "payback" for one another.
Another match on the show is a Non-title Singles match with the current reigning AEW Starlets Champion Velvet Sky facing the winner of Queen of the Ring tournament Candice Michelle. The two have been at one another's throats since Sky defeated Candice for the Starlets Championship at Redemption. Sky and Michelle has been going at it ever since than.
Another match on Concussion is a singles match with the newest addition to the AEW roster and "The Unstoppable" Tyler Reks (accompanied by his agent Paul Heyman) facing the Director of Authority Taz.
Another match for the show is another Singles match with Randy Orton facing off with The Miz, At Rapture Orton teamed with Velvet Sky to defeated Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis, After the match The Miz returned and attacked Orton, Thus making the match on Concussion.
Another title match for the show will a Hardcore Country Rules match for the AEW Starlets United States Championship as the AEW Starlets United States Champion Kelly Kelly defends the title against Mickie James. Since winning the title Kelly has been a dominate champion, At the Summer of Destiny pay-per-view Kelly defeated James to retain the Starlets US Championship. On the September 10, 2012 episode of Concussion, Kelly teamed with Justin Gabriel to defeat Chris Masters and Mickie James in a Mixed Tag Team match, On that same show James challenged Kelly to the match for the title that will take place on the 1 Year Anniversary show.
Another match announced for the 1 year show was the first of many matches with the AEW Television Championship on the line with the AEW Television Champion Austin Aries defending the Television Championship against The Hurricane, Chris Masters, Jamie Noble, Dolph Ziggler, and Heath Slater in a Elimination match. After this the Television Championship will be on the line every Monday.
