The card will include matches resulting from scripted storylines and have results predetermined by WIW on the Rage and ShowDown brands. Storylines are produced on WIW's weekly television shows, Rage and ShowDown.

On the October 15 episode of ShowDown, ShowDown Commissioner Dixie Finnegan and ShowDown General Manager Turf Finnegan formally challenged Raw to three traditional Soul Survivor elimination tag team matches – involving each brand's best five male wrestlers, best five female wrestlers, and best five tag teams, respectively. The following week, Rage Commissioner Glennda McAlmond and Rage General Manager Rex Martin accepted the challenge. On the November 9 episode of Rage, Glennda invited both Dixie and Turf to appear on the following week's Rage to address the interpromotional matches. The following night on ShowDown, Dixie and Turf accepted the invitation.

Over the following weeks, several tag teams were scheduled for the Tag Team Elimination match. For Team ShowDown, Cam Dana and Craig Dalton were made captain by virtue of being Heavyweight Tag Team Champions on the October 27 episode of ShowDown,. They then successfully defended their titles (and their spot at Soul Survivor) against The Bad Boys in an impromptu match. The same night, The Larson's then qualified by defeated Darkness Rising. The PWC and J&J Knockout Kings both qualified on the November 3 episode by defeating The Bad Boys and Half-Sack and Juice Ortiz, respectively. On the November 10 episode, James Masterson and Michael Soto defeated The Big Bang to qualify as the final team for Team ShowDown. On the Rage side, World Tag Team Champions The Doomsday were revealed as captains of Team Rage on the November 2 episode of Rage. The remaining four spots were filled the following week: Seth Smith and Craig Remsen, Matt Hooper and James Burdick, Oliver Queen and John Diggle, and The Wolf Pack. The Doomsday addressed the teams and then Oliver Queen and John Diggle were at odds with the rest of Team Rage, defeated Marc Beltran and Steve Britz in a non-title match.

The spots for the Women's Elimination match were also successively filled. On the October 27 episode of ShowDown, Brittany Hiatt defeated Susan Hanson to qualify for the women's team, Hanson had demanded a spot on Team ShowDown the week before. On the November 3 episode, ShowDown's Women's Champion Allison Richards, Courtney Hope and Becky Beall were revealed as the remaining team members, with Susan Hanson introduced as the team's coach. On the November 10 episode, the team's unity was strained when Beall confronted Brittany Hiatt. Hanson, who was involved in a match with Hope, tried to separate the two, which cost her the match. The same night, Richards successfully defended her championship against Austin, albeit in controversial fashion. For Team Rage, Rage's World Women's Champion Kaila Matteson (as team captain), newcomer Scout Compton and the holder of the Miss Money in the Bank Kara Magill were revealed as the team members on the November 2 episode of Rage. On the November 9 episode, Victoria Lehr and Sari Pasma were introduced as the final members. Earlier Matteson had folsey advertised her sister, McKaulie Matteson as the fifth member, only to e corrected by Sam Simkins. Pasma, Compton and Magill then defeated The Matteson Sisters and Lehr in a six-women tag team match when Compton pinned Kaila.

The teams for the Men's Elimination match began to take shape on the November 2 episode of Rage, when WIW World Champion Kevin McAlmond revealed he was made captain of Team Rage, WIW International Champion Dustin Simpson was added to the match by General Manager Rex Martin, who also added Matt Borske, which did not set well with McAlmond. On the November 9 episode of Rage, Kooper McAlmond and Ryan Barnhart were revealed as the final two members of Team Rage. To settle the teams differences, Glennda put all five men in a fatal-five way match, which culminated in McAlmond pinned Barnhart. For Team ShowDown,Turf Finnegan introduced all members on the November 3 episode of ShowDown: WIW Heavyweight Champion Mark Semmler, Kevin Hunter, Jon Rispens, Charlie Lynch and Daniel Gonzalez. A week later, to settle some of the teams differences, Turf also scheduled a six-man tag match pitting Lynch and The Family (Jon and Derek Reintjes against Hunter, Eason and Smith. After the Family defeated Hunter, Eason and Smith the team began to break down with Hunter and Semmler beginning to brawl, this would bring Turf and Dixie out to separate the two men and inform them that if they touched each other anymore until after Soul Survivor or Semmler will be stripped of the Heavyweight Championship and Hunter will be suspended indefinitely and no longer be the number one contender to the title.

At Halloween Hell, it was announced that Tyler Mane would be making his debut for WIW at Soul Survivor. On October 31 via facebook, ShowDown superstar, Chris LaGreca challenged Mane to match at Soul Survivor. On the November 2 episode of Rage, Mane made his first appearance for the company and accepted LaGreca's challenge for the match at the event before being interrupted by LaGreca's wife Beatrice LaGreca and one of his friends Veto Gentile, who confronted Mane, Mane attacked Gentile with a Chokeslam and going after LaGreca only for her to retreat.

At No Remorse, Aron Satre defeated WIW United Nations Champion Jax Teller, Richard Veach and Finlay Shepard in a Fatal four way match to win the WIW United Nations Championship. Satre offered Teller a rematch at the title, but Teller refused to take it, telling Satre he'll take it when he's good and ready. On the November 3 episode of ShowDown, after successfully defending the United Nations Championship against Richard Veach, Satre made an open challenge to any wrestler from the Rage brand to face him for the title at Soul Survivor. On the November 9 episode of Rage, Chris Gomez defeated Tyler Silva to earn the right to challenge Satre for the title at Soul Survivor. It was also revealed the Glenna and Dixie made a deal that would allow a Rage star to challenge for the United Nations Championship and a ShowDown star would challenge Dynamite Division Champion Josh Hooper for the title, On the November 10 episode of Rage, it was revealed that Joe Smith would be Hooper's challenger, with the stipulation added that if Smith wins, ShowDown gets the entire Dynamite division.

On the November 9 episode of Rage, Brenah McAlmond-Quinn returned to the company wondering why she wasn't put into the Women's Soul Survivor elimination match, she than challenged any women from the ShowDown roster to a singles match at Soul Survivor. The following night on ShowDown, Nicole Bergman confronted ShowDown General Manager Turf Finnegan wanting to be added to the Women's elimination match at Soul Survivor, Finnegan denied her entry and put her as Quinn's opponent for the event, Bergman reluctantly agreed to face Quinn at Soul Survivor.
