Winter Warzone (2016) is a professional wrestling pay-per-view (iPPV) event produced by WIW for the Rage brand. It took place on December 18, 2016, at The Sports Arena in Butte, Montana. This was be the first event under the Winter Warzone chronology.

At Soul Survivor, after an accidental superkick from WIW World Champion Kevin McAlmond, WIW Heavyweight Champion Mark Semmler eliminated WIW International Champion Dustin Simpson. The following Wednesday on Rage, Simpson confronted McAlmond about the situation and told him that he blamed him for his elimination, the two began to brawl through the arena until being separated by security a match was scheduled between McAlmond and Simpson at Winter Warzone.
