At the 2016 WIW draft, then-WIW Women's Champion Kaila Matteson was draft to Rage and was renamed the WIW World Women's Championship, leaving ShowDown without a women's championship. On the August 26 episode of ShowDown, the WIW Women's Championship was unveiled by General Manager Turf Finnegan and Commissioner Dixie Finnegan announced a six-pack challenge for the the vacant Women's Championship, announced six fatal four way matches in the next two weeks.
