On the February 15, 2010 episode of Raw is War, Rhodes and Dibaise lost the GWF World Tag Team Championship to Get On Our Level (The Miz and Johnny Nitro).

At AEW 2: Gunner vs. Reigns, Axel aided Orton in defeating Sonnen. It was later revealed that Cody Rhodes and Curtis Axel had signed a tag team contract (known as Legacy), their first match will be against The Ascension in a non-title match.
