At Soul Survivor, Martin McAlmond defeated James Burdick to retain the WIW World Heavyweight Championship, but was attacked by Chris LeGreca, Kevin McAlmond attempted to cash in his Money in the Bank contract, but was attacked and assaulted by The Authority of Wrestling before he could. On the November 24 episode of Rage, LeGreca demanded a match against Martin McAlmond for the title, Martin McAlmond accepted. Rex Martin had also announced a no contact rule until Christmas Chaos.
