TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs will feature professional wrestling matches that involved wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds or storylines that play out on WIW's primary television programs, Rage and ShowDown. Wrestlers will portray heroes or villains as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series matches.
At Soul Survivor, Martin McAlmond defeated James Burdick who had won a tournament earlier in the night to retain the WIW World Heavyweight Championship. On the following Rage, McAlmond confronted Burdick, about a rematch at TLC: Christmas Chaos this time in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Christmas Chaos match, in which McAlmond quickly accepted.
