The 2014 San Diego Chargers season is the franchise's 45th season in the National Football League, the 55th overall, and the 2nd under head coach Mike McCoy.

After former Chargers' offensive coordinator, Ken Whisenhunt, was hired by the Tennessee Titans to become their new head coach, the Chargers promoted Frank Reich to replace him. Reich spent last season as the Chargers' quarterback coach.
