On December 4, 2013, the NFL announced that the Falcons will play host to the Detroit Lions in the International Series at Wembley Stadium in London, England. The game will occur during Week 8 on Sunday, October 26, at 9:30 a.m. EDT (1:30 p.m. GMT), and will be aired by Fox in the United States. Both teams will have their bye the following week.

The remainder of the Falcons' 2014 schedule was announced on April 23.
