New alliance | New option

Foundation

A new Sim City Journal / Mayor Diary alliance which offers a new and different - independent - option to those who would like to participate in CJ/MD unions.

The Independent Pact of Nations (IPON) was formed in November 2007.

I am proud to be the host of the First IPON Summit, that was taken place in Szabadrév, the Capital of Liberty Islands. This is the coming out of a new alliance, which is much different from the currently existing ones, like the respected SCJU or the new but dynamic AU, and this is the Independent Pact of Nations, shortly the IPON. IPON would like to fulfill the demand for a different kind of city journal alliance. IPON gives a new option to those, who want to participate in unions, but also prefer to be part of a less organized and less bound community. IPON is more like the association of the independent and "non-aligned" real-world city journals. We consider the Non-Aligned Movement of the Cold War Period the predecessor of IPON. (By the way denying that there is any unfriendly competition between unions and alliances.) And this is all agreed by the founder nations of the IPON:

Jansipur, Hindu Republic of

Mesías, Republic of

Liberty Islands, Republic of

Sakhaliya, Peoples Republic of

The founders also agreed on: The name of this new alliance is Independent Pact of Nations. | That from now on, all members of the IPON will attend at the IPON Summits which be held monthly. | That IPON doesn't have explicit executives, except the IPON council which will organize the summits and the accession of new members, otherwise all decisions should be decided by the summit, where all members have equal voice. | That IPON will organize Independent Initiatives for different purposes, for example helping the poverty in third world countries or giving help at natural disasters. | That IPON is open to any nations which are independent.

Today

Today IPON has 9 member states, and one applicant.

The Symbols

The main symbol of the IPON is the blue earth circled on a white background, representing the neutrality, the Circle represent the need for cooperation. The Coat of Arms of IPON is a more formal interpretation of IPON Symbol.

Others symbols could been used but they are not the IPON Symbol.
