Freikorps Stahlhelm

The Stahlhelm is the special operations category of the Freikorps, and one of three total categories that forces are divided into (not to be confused with divisions of the Freikorps). The other 2 categories are Freikorps Regulars and the Freikorps General Staff. It's been likened many times to the SWAT team of the Freikorps, with the key difference being that the Stahlhelm number many more than any SWAT team would.

In general, the Stahlhelm still has all the ranks that the Regulars do, but those who are categorized in the Stahlhelm are considered to be overall "better" than their Regulars equivalent. There are of course, numerous exceptions to this rule of thumb, more often as one approaches the higher ranks.
