Background

The Communishyfen was created by Zeth on November 29, 2007. The original forum can be found here. On April 1st, 2008 it moved to a new location hosted by Zeta Boards due to a plague of spambots. It can be found here. The name Communishyfen came from a team name during Academic Team practice at the Root Administrator's school at the time.

Ranking System

The Communishyfen runs on a militaristic ranking system for all of its members. It is a system separate from the Freikorps.

The system goes as follows:

• General- This is the current Root Admin. They are the ultimate authority on the boards.
• Colonel- An Admin.
• Major- These are the equivalent of Moderators on other boards. Some Majors have powers over all sections of the board (also known as Global Moderators) and there are those that only have powers over specific sections.
• Sergeant- These, you could say, are the honored members of The Communishyfen. They know how to handle themselves on the board and have made real contributions to the forums.
• Corporal- A normal member.
• Court Marshalled- These are "demoted" members who did not follow the rules outlined.
• Banned-These are no longer members and cannot rejoin the community.

Sub-Forums

• Command Deck</dt>
  Contains Announcements to all forum members. The Announcements section is a must read board. Only Com Admirals or Generals may create topics here, but anyone is free to post.</dd>
• Crew Quarters</dt>
  Contains a Front Lobby for introductions,a Help Desk for both website issues and computer problems, General Discussion, and Serious Debate.</dd>
• E-Deck</dt>
  Contains The Golden Com Theater, The Arcade, The Library, and Section 8. The Golden Com Theater is for discussing music, movies, and television. The Arcade is for discussing video games and platforms. The Library provides a place for members to not only discuss various literary works but to post their own for others to read and discuss. The highlight of this sub-forum is Section 8. It is the most active section on the Communishyfen, and devoted to insanity and utter silliness. It also holds the Freikorps headquarters (also known as the Black Steel Fortress of Doom), the Peace Love and Happiness Brigade headquarters, and the Comm Gym (forum games).</dd>
• Arts and Tech Wing</dt>
  Contains the Hall of Fine Art, RP Simulator, Coding and Hacking, and Graphics Depot. The Hall of Fine Art is dedicated to more traditional art, such as drawing and painting. It hosts all traditional art contests. Real Roleplay games and stories go in the RP Simulator. If yours is too underdeveloped or is just a joke, it will be closed. It is the most active section in the Arts and Tech Wing. The Coding and Hacking section is the least active on the Communishyfen. It is devoted to exactly what the name implies, and prohibits the distribution of ROMs and WAREs. The Graphics Depot is devoted to the wonderful world of graphical Art. Spriters, designers, and Graphic artists, and Pixel artists post their work here for other members to see and give feedback on.</dd>
