Heart Events

In Tree of Tranquility, getting a Bachelor/ette up to a certain heart-level will trigger events. Here is a summary of what happens at each event; for details relating to a specific Bachelor/ette, please see the individual character pages.
Note that you need to complete all of these heart events before your love interest will accept a proposal. In addition, you must have witnessed (and accepted) at least one "confession" event before you can obtain the blue feather.

2-Heart Event
Once they reach two hearts, your potential spouse (or your rivals) will show up to give you a gift at your doorstep on a sunny day. Both the Bachelors and the Bachelorettes will show up no matter which gender you are playing as; this is more of a friendship event than anything else.
4-Heart Event
At four hearts, your potential spouse will ask to go on a lunch date with you. To trigger this, you must talk to your love interest before 11 am. Go to the date location between 12pm and 1pm, and your love interest will ask you a question which you will need to answer correctly to further increase affection.
NOTE: It is possible to stand up your heart-throb if you don't go to the specified location at the right time. This will decrease affection by a considerable amount.
5-Heart Event
At five hearts, your potential love interest will come around to bring you another present.
In addition, your love interest will ask you to complete a quest for him/her. This can be fairly easy for some (reconciling Selena with her parents) or complicated for others (getting to level 30 in Ganache Mine for Owen). You can continue to woo them even if you haven't completed the event, but until this is finished other heart events will not trigger. See individual character pages for details on how to complete the heart events.
6-Heart Event
At six hearts, your potential love interest will ask to meet you under Alan's Tree at Brownie Ranch. This is when they will confess their feelings to you. It can happen at any point after six hearts, so don't be discouraged if it doesn't happen immediately (especially if you have not yet completed the 5-Heart quest event).
To trigger this event, you once again need to talk to your potential love interest before 11am. Make sure to be at Alan's Tree by 1pm (the scene triggers automatically at 12pm if you get there early; it will only trigger until 1pm). If you reject your admirer's affections or stand him/her up, then your admirer's affection rate will go down.
Date conflicts
Do not trigger the dates on days before "romantic" festivals, as this will cause your love interest to first ask about the date, then ask to go to the festival, then they will stand you up on the dates. Their heart rate will go down though, the same as if YOU had been the one to stand them up.
To avoid this, make sure to invite your potential love interest to the romantic festival well after 12pm. However, if you do accidentally trigger it, usually the romantic festival's increase in affection will cancel out the missed date.
