Chase is a bit sarcastic and reserved. He tells people his opinions flat out. However, he has a harder time getting close to people, as he feels that makes him lose control.
Chase dreams of becoming a master chef, and has become Yolanda's apprentice with that goal in mind.
NOTE: It is possible to raise Chase's affection before he arrives on the island by working part-time at the Sundae Inn. However, because Maya's affection is also raised by doing this, it is easy to get her up to three hearts and accidentally trigger the rival events this way. If you decide to part-time to increase Chase's affection and you plan on marrying Maya or Chase, be extremely careful. You will probably need to actively lower affections by handing out gifts of toadstools or failed dishes.

5-Heart Event: Chase will ask you to cook 30 recipes. This means you need to make 30 recipes (in your home or with a bonfire set) and ship them, and then later bring a final cooked dish (dish #31) to Chase. The event is triggered in the Sundae Inn, and can only be completed in the Sundae Inn. Giving him a finished recipe at Town Square will not finish the event. Additionally, while this quest is going on, Chase will refuse to accept cooked dishes as presents while he is at Sundae Inn.
