Lose your sword (early versions)

From the game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64.

This only works for earlier versions of the game, such as the gold cartridge. Go to Ganondorf and fight him until he hits your sword out of your hands. Now, save and quit the game. Open the game up again and you should be without your sword. You can leave and go anywhere without your sword, which leads to many interesting side effects.
