From the game Super Smash Brothers for the Nintendo 64.

Do the "Everything Explodes" glitch. at hyrule castle, wait for a box to appear at the top platform. Then kill yourself. you will appear at the top platform in the box. when you are still invincible pick up the box. When you are half way to picking it up have another player smash the box so it explodes. Your character will look like he is holding something but there is nothing there. You can also throw the "object" and it will explode when it hits something.
