hey robby here to say will start filming on sunday 5th of noverber and on wednesday the 8th of november. RM

Started filming on the 4/11/06 weekend at the bowls club. Meet a bloke named Gazza and another named Tommy. Tommy is 70yrs old and has been a member of 52 bowls clubs but has not played a game eva. He says he goes to socailise and to meet the women. Started importing and editing on tuesday 7/11/06 RM

I have done some filming on the weekends for the last 3 weeks and am today importing my footage. This friday i have a booked an appointment with my dads workmate/friend 'Stretch'. I will be interviewing Stretch about his work that he did, and his contribution in the fight against Dengue. 7/11/06 JR

ZACH-DOWNHILL DILEMMAS man all you nerds go on this twikity bay way to often. okay this is a bit late because i have been busy with the following: my apprenticeship, writing and handing in my resignation for 'the edge', bmxing and the other important stuff. I filmed not last weekend but the one before (22nd/10th) Got side tracked and forgot to do some filming but still got some good cut away of Rhys Leach riding and a slight introduction. Found out his mum isnt quite so keen to give me an interview so I will have to give her what i give best...money or some other bribe. Oh and i also got an interview with dezmond johnston on the 2nd of this month. Forgot to change camera positions and angles but that is sort of irrelevant. Most likely will not post on here again for a while because i have a lot of assignments and exams coming up. But i will try. Oh and to robbys post about Tommy the old bloke who has never played bowls, just goes to hook up with chicks...what a champ!!! Zachy-7th/11th/2006th--Zachy 04:33, 7 November 2006 (EST)

Hey all, started to edit some of the footage today its hard and boring. Happy drunks are funny as. Tryin to see at the moment if i can get a camera for the weekend. Need to find a reporter anyone up for a bit of acting. RM 9/11/06

Half way through ftv lesson, starting to sift through my footage that i have so far. still need to get footage of rhys, his mum and someone else. 3 weeks left and got heaps and heaps to go. Hard. Zach!

At the moment I am playing around with footage in Final Cut. It's not as easy as editing for a mini skate film but you get that sometimes. I still need to get the rest of my footage. All i have left to film is some interviews and i have an official arrangement/meeting thingo with good ol' Stretch on friday! It's all good...I think i was better off doing a doco on skating or something, cuz I;m having doubts about this one. Its not as fun filming or anything. ITS BORING!!! I just want to get out and skate and film like the old days. It was fun and much less stressful like. I'm over mosquitoes!! GO FILM!!! and skate....for life. I is out!!! 'til next time i type on this site or what ever. BLEH! 9/11/06 JR

Hey all, when i imported my footage it came out as a 19 minute timeline its being pretty hard to edit. Word of warning camera 4 is crap to film with. RM

(Downhill Dilemmas) Got most of my footage and began editing it in final cut. Realised that finalcut isnt too hard but it isnt easy either. Thanks to all that helped me especially RILEY. Have over a minute of edited footage after one lesson but now have no footage left, hmm thats a dilemma in itself. (9th/11/06)

OK OK I've got the interview today and I helped Riley out with his doco, I had to do a voice over. Today I found some pictures of the big mosquito in the amber. The very same amberfied mozzie that was in Jurassic Park. This picture will come in handy for my doco. 10/11/06 JR

I filmed stretch last friday, on TROPICAL FRIDAY I should say. The interview took about 45 mins to do. I got plenty of footage from this interview, about 20 mins. I also filmed Dr. Ritchie showing me the new traps the DART team use to catch mosquitoes. they are testing the new biodegratable (or how ever you spell it) traps. Stretch showed me the pocket pc's they use. i will soon be getting some still shots of the pcket pc images and some of some mosquito eggs on the traps. I have got all of my footage now and am starting to produce this doco... 14/11/06 JR

Today Tuesday the 14th got a little bit of editing done. Now i can edit without having that 19 min clip. I am coming on the weekend to also edit. :) RM

(DOWNHILL DILEMMAS)well my documentary is actually a bit of a dilemma i Still yes still dont have an interview with rhys i will just have to do one with him on friday or tomorrow and tell him to wear a different shirt. Been focusing on what i thought were harder assignments(HPE, BIO) but figured out since im crp at FTV i should focus on it. Well i spose my edited footage progress is alright but need to find a good filter to make one clip look old (any suggestions?) Thanks, Zach(15/11/06)

Today I played around with Stretch's interview footage. I'm trying to link up different shots together. This is going to take a while to do. I am finding it ard to keep up with the rest. I've found I may need more footage, just small clips. I need the time on the weekend to work but I have found that i am working both days! I've tried to swap with people but I can't! This is stopping me from finishing it on time... 16/11/06 JR

(DOWNHILL DILEMMAS) today is monday and our FTV sequence is due thats okay mine is alright its over two minutes i think and i am up to the credits. Ends a bit bluntly but oh well. Zach. (20th/11/06)

Today i edited some of the footage around teh middle of the doco. I haven't got an intro yet cuz i need to get the final interview. I will be doing that today or tommorrow. yep. 21/11/06 JR

From A Roof To Rubble was a succesful documentary which was shown on seven news. It was successful by attracting the target audience of the prgram, making it informative and interesting to the audience i did this by good interviews and shots. The genre of the doco was disasters. I succcessfully created the tone with the interviews and shots they all where linked to the disaterof the bowls club. I trying to send the message that somehting like this has gone on for to long and to just have it sit there and have nothing done for the club. 4 successful aspects of the segement are, good interviews, shots, voice over sequence and format. By fading some of my cut aways in or out it may have improved doco. By having a final voice over at the end and fading out the frame was a very succcessfully conclusion. Problems such as sound and sequence were difficulties i while i edited my flim because some interveiws could not be used because of the wind and the sequence because it was hard to put it together without it jumping. One change i a tripod in all of my shots so that i did not need so many freeze frames. Yes i believe some people would like my segement these may be the affected bowls members. RM 28/11/06
