Acara of the Winter Lotus is one of the highest-ranking members of The Fivescore Fellowship and First Mate of the Dream of Sweet Rain.

First Mate Acara is a dedicated officer, notable even before the Fall of Creation for his dedication to the causes of Heaven and apparent lack of personal designs. He is efficient and speaks with careful precision, enunciating words in a way which speaks to his educated upbringing and taking care never to openly disparage where it does not advance his agenda. As an officer, he believes that all men can rise to the occasion if you give them a little help and room to grow.

The Iron Sapphire is a tall man with a strong face and an average build. While he's neither spectacular nor given to spectacle, he carries a palpable aura of certainty accented by his relaxed mouth, stern eyes and military pose. Acara's hair is a dark black and his eyes are an uninspiring brown, save for the glowing blue stars which spin in the depths of his pupils.
Acara dresses in a well-cut grey uniform with softly gleaming cuffs embroidered with Starmetal. He bears a starmetal Khakkhara as a symbol of his authority and a reminder of what was left behind.
History
Acara's history before the Flight from Darkness is unknown to those outside the Fellowship, though some have heard distorted tales of Acara and Star's frenzied escape from the legions of the Ebon Dragon. Acara openly admits that he was the last of those aboard the ship to flee from Heaven, though he prefers not to talk about the specifics.
The First Mate led several away missions during the first two years of the Flight, although he has not left the ship since it entered Chaos. He often performs inspections in lieu of the Captain and spends a great deal of time creating detailed plans at the request of his fellow Sidereals.
In his spare time, Acara enjoys vanishing entirely for mysterious purposes and bartending.
