Page 76

• JONJONAUG visits Dame Helen's abode, but leaves before his knocking is answered.
• At the clinic, Sage is concerned about some kind of blade. He's also talking to someone else about there troubling dreams.
• While at Grim's place, Atescu, Nasoj, Kraggi and Grim are talking. Nasoj, Grim's neighbour, leaves soon. The conversation then turns to pets, Gal-Zaborian state finances, Felina and ancient history.
• Lora returns home, gets dressed, then head back to town to find Ann.

• Lora arrives at Ann's place, to return a towel, and is answered by KF-Ann. They start talking about Chuck, Gal-Zabour's Minister of Finance, who happens to be visiting. And a cat.
• During all this, Bob finishes searching the Town for the Town Hall and finds it doesn't have one. This bothers him, as he believes Keb, who will be arriving soon, will do something stupid as a result.
• JONJONAUG, meanwhile, is bored as he wonders about the park. He returns home and begins working in his lab. Soon, after many explosions, he emerges with a pair of Levitation Boots and uses these to fly around town.
• Sage, meanwhile, gets another patient. This time it's Belle.
• It's about this time that Rose joins the conversation at the door, by apologizing to Lora about a previous argument, which is promptly accepted. Lora then asks about any local shrinks.
• And Lomgren finishes cleaning up and also heads over to Ann's, joining in the conversation on arrival.

• JONJONAUG flies over to the Ann's house and joins the conversation there. Lomgren recognizes him from the tour of the TF Labs, a few days ago. Suddenly, Lomgren is Pounce-Glomped by Sanchay, making him wet. (Ooh er missus!) But just before that, Lora is informed about the town's clinic.
• Belle informs Sage that she's been having weird dreams, waking visions, hallucinogens and bouts of hysteria. Sage is concerned about this becoming an epidemic and that the cause is paranormal. He does not tell Belle this, however, instead asking for some more details.
• Meanwhile, stuff is happening in Ann's shower, between Ann and Rose-KF. Fade to black, me thinks.
• Back at Ann's doorway, Lomgren manages to free himself from Sanchay, who then dries herself doggy style. JONJONAUG is confused by the two 'Anns'. Lomgren and Lora comment on the gathering crowd and perhaps though should disperse a little, though JONJONAUG is more concerned about the two Anns. He also finally lands.

• JONJONAUG has explained to him the nature of the two Anns. Lomgren announces he's planning a party. Lora says she needs to head off to find a shrink. Rose then leaves them all on the doorstep, so she can put the towel away. The conversation then turns to Ann-KF worrying about the Resurrection Machine creating duplicates. JONJONAUG looks uncomfortable, because he made it. Ann-KF assures him that he'll fix it himself.
• Rose knocks on the bathroom door, where Ann and Rose-KF are showering. Both respond. Rose tells them about the crowd gathering. Ann says she's busy. Rose says Lomgren is there. Rose-KF says she's still busy. Rose then drops the towel off in the bedroom, before rejoining the front door crew.
• Rose then informs everyone that Ann is unavailable. Lomgren says fair enough and says he'll be at the book store. JONJONAUG gets excited at the mention of a book store, to the point that he can't wait for a responce, so flies onto Ann's roof to search for it. Rose and Ann-KF go back inside, closing the door and everyone moves off.

• JONJONAUG notices the book shop from Ann's roof, but is disappointed because it appears to be closed. So, bored, he walks to the bakery and has a chat with Kasumi.
• In Ann's house, Rose and Ann-KF start discussing what to do. Ann-KF goes to the bedroom to play with yarn balls and catnip and is soon joined by Rose. A yarn ball brawl soon results. This ends up with them both entangled, with obvious results.
• Grim's place: Kraggi's notices that the pies are ready, so Atescu gets the them. The first pie is divided up and Kraggi ends up with nothing, so he tries to beg some of Grim, who wanted over half.
• Meanwhile, JONJONAUG has randomly flown to Grim's roof and overhears Kraggi talking. He decides to prove he's a nice guy, so returns to the bakery and buys a lot of pies. He then leaves one on every doorstep with a note, before knocking and flying off. This done, he takes a mid-air nap somewhere.

• Back at the Clinic, Belle tells Sage that her nightmare involve her finishing move, Hell's Invitation, being used on her. Sage diagnoses the problem and recommends therapy. Belle isn't so sure, saying that she now knows how horrific her technique really is.
• In the Pie Saga, Freek gives Kraggi a quarter of the second pie. Grim, starts to flirt with the squirrely one to get some of that pie too. Unfortunately, the pie is too good. After this the conversation turns weird.
• Lomgren, meanwhile, is getting ready to open his store. After making various measurements, he heads over to the General Store. There, after a little haggling, he orders the stuff he needs and leaving.

• Pie Saga: It soon becomes obvious that Kraggi and Grim were quoting lines from Space Oddity as grim brakes out into actually song, using a spoon as a microphone. Eshli joins in starting with her favourite line, "She knows". When the song finishes, Freek asks Atescu WTF? but she doesn't know the name of the song. Both Kraggi and Grim are horrified by this and offer to lecture the pair on what they're missing. They decline. However, in turns out that Kraggi is equally ignorant of 23rd century music, which Grim will gladly educate him on. They then head off together to do just that.

• In Grim's basement, Kraggi's education commences. However, this soon involves the Tasteful Curtain.
• At the Clinic, Sage now realizes that Belle is feeling repressed guilt over inventing such an evil technique and this is causing the bad dreams. Unfortunately, this is an issue Belle must come to terms with herself, either by dealing with the guilt or by stop using the technique at all.
• Ann's house, Ann and Rose-KF finish 'cleaning' and leave the shower. They then get dressed, the former in her 'Frisky Kitty' t-shirt, the latter in the others uniform. While talking, Ann decides to play a prank on the other two 'Anns', who doesn't know about Rose-KF. So Rose-KF walks into the bedroom and impersonates Ann while Ann hovers by the doorway.
• Lomgren, meanwhile, finishes ordering the supplies needed for his book store. He then heads home, bored. As he passes Ann's house, he thinks about stopping, but doesn't.

• Ann bedroom, Rose-KF (still pretending to be Ann) comes under the influence of the catnip the others had been using. Outside, Ann grumbles at the mention of catnip and takes off her shirt to cover her face. She then walks in and closes the catnip jar, then puts it away. The two tied-up 'Anns' do a double-take, but quickly figure out what's going on. Ann then scolds Rose-KF for mucking up her prank. She defends herself by saying that's her first experience with the nip. Ann then frees the others by cutting the string with her claws.
• Meanwhile, Lomgren gets home and notices the pie left on his front doorstep. He takes it in and puts it in the fridge, then notices his list of party preparations. He begins to check that too.
• Grim's basement, the CD ends and the Tasteful Curtain lifts. Grim then quickly gets a CMD from upstairs, before returning. She uses this to give Kraggi a 'Male Love Machine' form and the Tasteful Curtain descends once more.
• Later that night, Keb finally arrives. Him and Bob have a conversation. This ends with Bob heading towards the Rex and Keb preparing to build a house on the fountain. Don't worry, apparently no one else will notice it.
• At about the same time, Homer returns home. She very tired and just collapses straight into bed.

• Rose randonly pins Ann's tail with her claws, causing Ann to cry out in pain. Rose-KF tries to help Ann, but falls over. Luckily, she lands on the imprisoned pair, which is enough for Ann to free her tail.
• Meanwhile, JONJONAUG is back in his lab. One explosion later, he's starting to get some success with his latest invention.
• At Grim's house, Kraggi and Grim have fallen asleep from exhaustion. However, they've only been asleep a little while when Eshli walks in, looking for a CD. She wakes Grim to ask her where it is, then asks what where they doing in bed together. Grim tries to pass the buck to Eshli's father, but little girls with awkward questions aren't so easily thwarted. Kraggi tries to fob her off with a lie about music sounding better in bed, while naked, but Eshli doesn't believe him.
• During this time, Lora had been shopping in the bakery. Now, however, she heads over to the clinic and inquires about free psychiatric therapy. She doesn't get a direct answer, but is told she can wait, which she does.

• JONJONAUG, still in his lab, tests his new inventions, a belt and robe combo that grant the wearer invisibility, intangibility and flight. While testing these, there's a knock at the door. Which he answers, while still invisible. However, it turns out to be Scribble, who can see such things anyway and actually says so almost straight away. However, JONJONAUG calls Scribble James and invites him in, giving him a key to open all bar the restricted doors in the house. Scribble points out that James is his father and that he's here to offer JONJONAUG some of his power.
• Back in Grim bedroom, Kraggi pretends he actually believed his lie with his whole heart, which explains his behaviour. This is bizarre, but it's Kraggi, so Eshli believes him and leaves. When she's gone, Grim suggests Kraggi wear pyjamas if he still wishes to stay the night. He does so, grudgingly, while Grim puts on a nightgown. However, it soon comes apparent that Kraggi is upset about how bad a lie he tried. In fact, he starts to laments that even after 200 years, he still acts like a babbling idiot most of the time. Grim comforts him, saying that goodness of heart is what truly matters, and then they embrace, each lost in their own worry and brooding. Kraggi, hoping that Grim won't die like so many others in his long life, and Grim hoping that Kraggi won't leave her when he discovers the truth about her past.
• In a different bedroom, Ann notices the air seems to be clearing, so takes off her improvized face mask. She then suggests that the others can now use the shower.
• Meanwhile, Lomgren has finished most of his preparations for the party. Now he only has to deliver the invites and do some final orders. So he sets out once more, starting with the former, so heads to the post office.
• Belle has been silent for several minutes, causing Sage to become concerned and inquire if she's taken any drugs. She responds by saying she was meditating, before saying she's been called away and gets teleported off.

• JONJONAUG seems intrigued by Scribble's offer and asks for more details. The responce is Scribe Magic, which is apparently absolute control over Essence. However, JONJONAUG asks if he could get it tomorrow, as he's tired and wants to go to bed.
• Taking Belle's sudden disappearance in his stride, Sage checks to see if he has any other patients. Upon seeing Lora, he asks her to step into his office, which she does. She is obviously very nervous and says this is her first time. Sage assures her, finds out her name, then begins the session.
• At the post office, nobody seems to be around, so Lomgren rings for service. This summons help, three of them who arrive from the back room, in a state of disarray. And wearing each others clothes. Lomgren, however, isn't fazed by this and despite some confusion, arranges to have the invites delivered. Happy, he then pays and heads to the grocery store, where he buys more party stuff, then heads home with two large bags.
• Ann's bedroom, Rose-KF says she doesn't need another shower and wouldn't want to leave out Ann anyway. However, the General is quite empathic that they won't be having a foursome and leaves to get some air.

• As Ann is leaving the bedroom, Rose-KF reminds her that she's naked, so Ann quickly grabs a uniform. While she's getting dressed, the others decide they don't want a shower anyway, as it'll be a bad idea while on the nip. However, they are all hungry, everyone gets up and gets ready to leave.
• At this point, Lomgren arrives at Ann's front door and stops for a breath, as the groceries are heavy. Suddenly, a strange man, standing on two hand-feet at the end of tails, appears. He's massive, in both height and musculature, and offers to help. Lomgren is obviously taken aback, and nervously declines. The man seems disgruntled by this, but introduces himself as Marcus, or Monk-E and Lomgren returns the greeting. After again asking if Lomgren wants help, and getting politely refused again, Marcus leaps off and starts jumping from roof to roof. Lomgren watches him go, wondering who he was.
• During Lora's session on the couch, it's revealed that she's narcoleptic and has been having weird dreams. Sage says he can proscribe medication for the first, but needs more details for the latter. She then explains how the dreams almost seem like memories, but are of situations she was never in. This, combined with her blackouts, is really troubling her.
• Back in Grim's bedroom, Grim reveals that when she was still male and an Author, she had made many Mary Sues, that he had to have put down. She breaks into tears and sobs into Kraggi's shoulder. Kraggi doesn't understand what she meant, but comforts her anyway.

• Outside Ann's house, Lomgren has gotten his breath back and is ready to continue. However, he realises that picking up both bags without dropping the other will be tricky. He decides that he'll have to leave one behind, so grabbing the one with the most perishables, he runs home and quickly packs everything away. However, at this point the Frisky Kitty Brigade leave the house and notice the bag. After a quick discussion, they work out it must do Lomgren's and take it over to his house, arriving just as he was about to leave. He thanks them, takes the bag, then does a double take as he realizes there are 4 of them. This breaks his brain a little, as does the attempted explanation, so they take pity on the poor man, give him his groceries, and formerly accept his invite.
• With Grim much calmer now, Kraggi suggests they both go to sleep. Grim agrees and soon they're both snoozing in each others arms. Meanwhile, the rest of the household are busy at their own recreations, whether reading, typing or listening to music.

• At Lomgren's house, the Frisky Kitty Brigade are just leaving. However, as they're doing so, Ann-KF stumbles slightly, is caught by Rose-KF, there's a flash of light and now there both in the same body. After a bit of discussion on the about WTF just happened, Rose-KF somehow manages to manifest in a ghost form, then regains her body. This is too much for Lomgren, he simply closes the door and goes to bed, while the Anns shield their sister as she redresses.
• By midnight at Grim's house, Freek tells his daughter, Eshli, to go to bed, as she was still listening to David Bowie. He then meets Atescu in the kitchen while getting a coke, tells him what going on, then returns to his room. Atescu decides to be a little mischievous and tucks Kraggi and Grim in.
• Back at JONJONAUG's place, Scribble seems to ignore JONJONAUG's last comment and pulls out something that looks like a cross between a CMD and a Megaman Blaster. He calls it a Scribble Cannon, but says he needs a few components to complete it.
• At the Clinic, Sage believes Lora's problem sounds like a form of Self-Hypnosis that causes her blackouts to prevent painful memories from emerging. He says that the easiest method would be to directly search her mind, for which he needs permission.
• Meanwhile, Sanchay walks into the Diner. She's lonely and wants someone to talk to, so sits down at a table and waits for people to turn up.

• Now fully dressed, the Frisky Kitty Brigade discuss whether they should go to the Rex or the Diner. They decide on the pub, as the Diner is likely to be closed, so head there.
• Meanwhile, Lomgren wakes from a nightmare. Noticing that it's only 7pm, he decides to read the book that Grim gave him. However, after 15 minutes, the memory of the nightmare resurfaces, so he decides to head to the Rex for some food.
• At the TF Labs, JONJONAUG asks what Scribble needs to complete the Cannon and is told "Untainted Jusenkyo Spring Water". Agreeing that is a difficult commodity to find, JONJONAUG nonetheless agrees to finding some. And as the only source is in an alternate dimension, he opens a portal and leaves Mossy Knoll. Right after he's gone, Scribble gets a massage that they'll need a cauldron's worth of the water. So he opens his own portal and is gone, too.
• The Rex: The Frisky Kitty Brigade sit down in their favourite booth and start looking at the menu. Moments later Lomgren arrives and gets freaked out as seeing the FKB triggers his nightmare again.

• Morning in the square and Bob awakens to a pounding. Both in his head and on the door to his caravan. Answering the latter while wondering about the former, as he didn't drink that much last night, he finds an excited Keb. Conversation ensues, in which it's revealed that Bob's headache is from tripping over last night and that Keb has moved an entire cold war era Soviet mini-city, complete with Eldritch Horrors sealed away in the lower regions, and somehow installed it beneath the fountain. After looking around the safe areas, they go for breakfast. On the way back up, Bob complains about the stairs, so it's at this time that Keb tells him about the lift. However, they didn't take it because the missile's fin gets in the way. Anyway, the conversation continues as the pair head too the Diner and order breakfast, with Keb trying, but failing, to put Bob off his food.
• At the Rex the previous night, Ann and Rose notice Lomgren come in, so greet him. He returns a stammered greeting of his own.
• Back on the couch, Lora is very nervous about the idea of Sage entering her head. She starts to babble about funny monkeys wearing hats, which causes her to start dowsing off to sleep. This worries sage, who says he needs to have a look now, as the problem seems very serious. Lora comes back to her senses and gives permission, but then suddenly sit up and clutches her head in pain. Quickly, Sage enters his patient's mind and finds a very strong barrier. Carefully, he weakens it so that it'll slowly erode, releasing the memories over a series of days. He then returns and tells Lora of this, only to find her still in pain. He says that this is probably a result of the treatment, but if the pain persists or the memories become overwhelming, then she should come to him immediately. He also recommends she sleeps for the rest of the day and says he's done all he can for now. Thanking him, Lora agrees, then leaves. When she's gone, sage realises it's late, so finishes for the night and heads to the pub for some food.

• After her session with Sage, Lora makes her way home. As she walks, she thinks about the need to get a job, but that can wait for tomorrow. Upon arrival, she finds two bills, Lomgren's invite and a returned letter waiting for her. She then heads inside, has a bite to eat and goes hunting for a book.
• The following morning, Kraggi and Grim wake up at roughly the same time, kiss each other, then begin to discuss who will have the first shower. Kraggi, obviously, suggests going together, but then realises that it's to soon even for him, so lets Grim go first. The conversation then turns to breakfast as she heads to the bathroom. They decide on pancakes, with Grim wanting chocolate chips in hers, so Kraggi heads off to the kitchen.
• Back the previous night, at the Rex, Ann-KF asks why Lomgren is so surprised at seeing them.

• House of Grim, Eshli can be heard singing. Suddenly, a hologram of JONJONAUG appears and explains certain dangers in the forms they're using to Grim & Kraggi. These dangers include permanent personality alterations and the desire to procreate becoming compulsory. They both ignore the message. Kraggi finishes making the pancakes just as Eshli walks in. She leaves the song unfinished, which the Kraggi takes as an invite to join in. Unfortunately, this annoys Eshli, whop snaps at her 'uncle'. An atmosphere ensues, with Kraggi glumly finishing of the breakfast and Eshli, after a few minutes, starting up another song. Grim arrives at this point, apologizing about Eshli. They then start on breakfast.
• Back the previous night, Sage enters the Rex. He looks around, sees a few drunks, Lomgren and the four Anns, then sits down. A minute later the penny drops and he walks over, bluntly asking why there are four Anns. Ann-KF answers, saying that one's an dimensional alternate and two are him, duplicated due to a malfunction with the Resurrection Machine. Ann then adds more detail by pointing out who's who. Lomgren, who's still standing there, seems slightly relieved upon hearing the explanation, but only slightly so. He tells the Anns that he had a nightmare about them.

• Kraggi and Grim talk over breakfast. Eshli joins them a little later, after sees finished her tributing. After eating a pancake, she rushes off to her room, saying it's her 'Devotion Day', so will be there a lot that day. The love birds then finish eating before Grim gets dressed and Kraggi has his shower. Then, after a little discussion, they decide to make sure their Diner is doing OK. On the way out they overhear Freek and Atescu discussing Eshli's music obsession.
• Previous night again, the action in the Rex continues. Sage appears to understand the situation now and hands everyone else a business card, saying they might be needing him. He then returns to his table. Ann-KF says she won't be needing it, but puts it away anyway. Lomgren then relates his nightmare in detail, explaining that it involved hundreds of Anns, all staring at him, who then slowly combined into one. Ann says she doesn't understand what's so scary about the dream, though it was odd. Lomgren agrees and says it's probably a sign that he's subconsciously not comfortable with Death actually walking around.

• The Rex: Rose responds to Lomgren's comment that their presence makes him effectively immortal. Lomgren admits it's silly and apologises again for interrupting their meal. The Deaths say they haven't ordered yet and invite him to join them, which he accepts. Also, Ann-KF invites him to visit the Deathmanse afterwards, which he also accepts. They then discuss what to eat, deciding on BBQ chicken wings, with a side order of bread and milk to drink. The waiter appears as if by magic, takes their order, then ghosts away. (Editor's Note: First appearance of De Spectre.) Ann-KF and Lomgren discuss how creepy he seems.
• Back the next morning, Kraggi and Grim decide to take a detour via the Grocery Store, so they can expand their Diner's menu. They discuss what each can cook as they browse. When they go to purchase their goods, Grim asks to open an account for the Diner and discovers this comes with a massive discount. So she immediately piles on more stuff. After this, Kraggi helps her carry everything over to the Diner.

• At the Rex again, the conversation at the Frisky Kitty table turns to Lomgren's upcoming party. Of course, Twister is brought up. Anyway, while they're talking, suddenly the food is their and the waiter quietly walks away again. They all tuck in, Ann doing the best to ignore the inferno in her mouth, and Lomgren asks whether he should have any TF food. Ann replies as long as it's labelled, then downs half her milk in one go. Strangely, the rest of the FKB don't seem to be having this trouble. Ann grumbles about this, tries to go on eating, but fails. While she's still moping, Lomgren has an idea. He asks if the Deaths just look like Ann. They reply that it's a lot deeper than that, as they have the same innards and everything.
• At the Diner the next morning, Bob and Keb finish breakfast and return to the bunker. As they walk, they discuss what to do about the trapped Horrors.

• Previous Night: The conversation about how comes only Ann can't eat spicy food, when all the Frisky Kitty Brigade are physically identically continues. As they talk, Ann decides she can't stomach any more, so goes to wash up. Her remaining wings are devoured by her 'sisters'.
• That Morning: Grim and Kraggi arrive at the Diner and open up. (This is obviously before Bob, Keb and whoever else arrived and ate there.) They also decide to put up a help wanted sign.
• Later That Day: Bob and Keb are still discussing there situation, ie, living right above trapped unspeakable Horrors. They decide to bring in some experienced help ASAP while also inquiring about town if any of the locals have appropriate experience. In the meantime, however, they'll be needing headphones to drown out the wailing.
• Previous Night: At the Rex again, Sage is deciding what to order. He's thinking out loud and has just decided on a roast beef sandwich, when the waiter is there, asking if he would like anything else. The fact that the waiter managed to sneak up on him sends him falling from his chair in shock. Sage confirms his order, then when the waiter has gone, carefully returns to his chair. Just as he's starting to recover, his meal is in front of him and the waiter's voice comes from behind him. In a rage, Sage spins and grabs him, threatening to weld a cow bell to his face. The waiter simply laughs, saying he needs to be caught first, then escapes while Sage blinks. Grumbling, Sage eats his sandwich, swearing never to eat at the Rex again.

• Back at the Frisky Kitty table, as they finish up, conversation turns to what to do next. Lomgren reminds the Deaths that they were going to show him around their house. He also asks if he can call them anything other than Death, to which they simultaneously reply Knave. As the conversation continues, the 3 remaining FKs decide to prank Lomgren by rapidly changing their seating, so he doesn't know who is who. Anyway, at this point Ann returns, having failed in finding the bathroom, so Lomgren asks the waiter for a napkin. Unfortunately, Ann's sisters clearly want to lick her clean themselves, and Ann doesn't have what it takes to resists a trio of puppy dog eyes from her own face. This, of course, surprises, and probably slightly arouses, Lomgren.

• Midnight the night of the Frisky Kitties Brigade's chicken wing meal at the Rex, a naked man appears suddenly in the Town Square. Looking around and seeing no one, the man quickly hides behind the pub. There, he finds a potato sack to cover himself, before heading towards the clothing store he spotted earlier. Luckily, it's still open, so he opens a tab and buys some clothes on credit.
• Back at the pub, Lomgren suggests that perhaps Knave is too tired to show him around his house.
• Meanwhile, Lora is having an odd dream.
• The next day, Bob finds his invite for Lomgren's party. He sets aside some clothes for it and then leaves his caravan to find Keb. Together they decide to begin exploring the safe parts of the silo, so begin the long trudge down the stairs. Bob, of course, complains about the lift not working again.
