Cut-and-Paste
From Dyos Wiki
Cut-and-Paste is the most prolific medium of comic creation in DRAW Your Own Story, and the simplest. C+P cartoons consist of images imported from a source and arranged to create a scene, with text overlay providing dialogue and narration. C+P, while simple, varies widely in terms of quality depending on the amount of effort spent 'polishing' it. Some images are easy to polish. Some images that use a *.png file format are the easiest to use since they don't have the artifiacts associated with *.jpg images.

Occasionally, Machinima works would use Cut-and-Paste methods, though more correctly and technically known as "Green Screening" where a scene is created using a map that is completely green or blue. Then using a paint/photoshop editor, remove any of the colors set in a Chroma key, remove the background so that it is transparent then pasted into an image found in google, youtube, or generated from another machinima medium that uses a different engine (Eg. Having Half-Life 2 (Source Engine) characters appearing in Star Wars: Jedi Academy (Quake III Arena Engine)). The polishing method ranges from difficulty from easy to tedious.
