Tiberium Universe

The Tiberium games took place in a post-apocalyptic Earth after the mysterious mineral Tiberium landed on the planet in 1995. The world is divided into two primary factions - the Global Defence Initiative (GDI) and the Brotherhood of Nod, who fought each other over the control of this new resource while civilization collapses all around them.

Red Alert Universe

Originally meant to be a prequel to Tiberian Dawn, "Red Alert" eventually became its own spin-off universe. Generally, Red Alert games are more "light-hearted" than the Tiberium series; the latter tends to adopt a serious tone to reflect the theme of the series (which, of course, revolves around the impending doom of the human race). Unlike the games of the other two universes, navies are an important part of Red Alert games.

Red Alert is an alternate universe where, due to Einstein's time-traveling, Josef Stalin and the Soviet Union became the aggressor of World War II instead of the now-non-existent Hitler and the Third Reich. Time travel was later used on several other occasions, giving rise to new and exciting wars.

Generals Universe

"Generals" takes place in the near future, where the USA, China, and a terrorist organization merry band of freedom fighters, the Global Liberation Army, competes for global ascendancy.

  • 2003 - Zero Hour (expansion pack to Generals)
