The Beginning
On the night of the 11th of July, after celebrating a win over Joe Bruiser, Bobby Marshall met with Chris O'Leary. After a long, heart-felt talk, Bobby saw the error of his ways, and made a decision. The Irish Connection would be reformed. In their first match, on the 7/18 edition of Mayhem, The Irish Connection defeated The CWO.
An Announcement
Rumors had circulated DXX.com that Chris O'Leary had accepted a challenge, set out by The Black Hearts for a fight at SummerSlam, a month later. 2 days later, at a press conference, Bobby confirmed that the challenge had been accepted.
SummerSlam 2008
Then came the first ever Pay-Per-View for the newly reformed Irish Connection. At SummerSlam 2008, they defied all odds when they defeated The Black Hearts, after Bobby Marshall used Brass Knuckles and Chris O'Leary got the pin.
As the Irish Connection feud with The Black Hearts, there was a turn around for the tag team as they joined forced with Matt Hardy and Shawn Michaels (known as the Eccentric Shadow Breakers) to create the nWo Wolfpack. The status of the Irish Connection is unknown. More recently, The Wolfpack recruited Renato Gomes.
Final Match
At DXX Anniversary, The Irish Connection will wrestle their final match before moving on to bigger and better heights as members of the nWo Wolfpack. This match will be a Barbed Wire Hell in a Cell match against their long time foes, The Black Hearts.
