...Headache. Headache.
Damn, it hurts.
...Headache.
It feels like my head is going to explode...
I slowly open my eyes. A white-ish ceiling greets me.
Let me think...
A sharp pain reminds me that I have a headache, and as such, am in no state to think too hard.
I feel the cold floor beneath me.
But that's strange. I just woke up, so why am I lying on a cold surface? Where's my bed?
Tilting my head reveals to me that my bed, the one I was supposed to wake up in rather than waking up on the cold hard floor, is right beside me. Oh, the irony.
Again, I feel the painful throbbing of my head. Ugh...
Well, I can't keep lying here forever...
I sit up. Naturally, my head takes the chance to even at the slightest movement remind me that, yes, I do have a headache, and yes, it does hurt like hell.
A headache this strong can't be caused by merely rolling out of your bed, can it...?
......huh.
I couldn't put my finger on it before, but there's something weird about my bed...
...yeah. My blanket, my pillow...they're lying there too neatly. I couldn't have rolled out of my bed, in fact, I don't think I slept in that bed at all, ...did I?
My sharp insight is quickly rewarded with an equally sharp pain to the brains that produced this wonderful reasoning.
But now I want to know. Why am I on the floor, and what did cause this headache?
I look around me.
A bed. An empty bottle. A poster on the wall. An empty bottle. A desk. An empty bottle. A TV. An empty bottle. A closet. An empty--wait, why are there so many empty bottles in my room?
I reach out and grab an empty bottle. ...Try to grab an empty bottle. Why must bottles be round like that?
Despite my headache-impaired hand-eye coordination skills, I manage to grab a bottle without too much effort.
Let's see. This bottle contained...beer.
Also, all other empty bottles seem identical to this one.
Okay, okay, I can do this. Okay. Let's see.
1. I did not sleep in my bed last night.
2. I woke up on the floor.
3. I have a terrible headache.
4. There are empty beer bottles all over the floor.
From all of this, I can conclude...
"......you've got to be kidding me."
I slump down again only to be assaulted once again by the now familiar sharp pain. So I immediately veer up again which my headache seems to view as a chance to torment me once again. Fuck you, headache.
"Ugh..."
My throat feels so dry even saying something as simple as 'ugh' hurts.
But really...is it even possible for a single human to drink that much beer? No, even if you're with two I can't imagine you'd get away without alcohol poisoning. It's no wonder I feel like I'm about to die.
Well, whatever. I seem to still be alive, so I might as well get up and start my day.
Okay, let me think, what day is it...no, never mind, let's not.
I'll just take a shower first, I'll figure out the rest...later...
I stagger over to where the shower is.
...I'm so wasted I can't even remember what the shower looks like...well, if I can find it, that's good enough...
...
...
SHIKI Anon's version
Oww.
Owwwwwwwwwwww.
What the hell? My head hurts.
It really, really hurts.
Why?
Maybe I should try opening my eyes.
"................................."
An endless blank field of white is before me.
No, wait, that's the floor. A cold, tiled one to be exact. I'm lying on my stomach.
From my prone position I look about the room. It's small, and there's a ton of crap on the floor. Most of it looks like cans, but there are also some boxes, no, cases? And what I think are glass bottles. I think I see some books and paper scattered around, too. This place is a dump...
It's hard, because of my headache, but I manage to stand up well enough. It'll be easier to get my bearings now.
I see a bed and computer on my left, and what appears to be a closet [note: wait is it supposed to be plurals, closets?] on my right. Pretty normal, if you ignore the crazy mess on the floor for a second. There's also a passage connecting to another room. I find out that it leads into a kitchen, which is just as humble as the last room, though not nearly as cluttered.
Who lives here? Me? I don't recognize anything... and if there's a bed, why wasn't I sleeping on that instead? Why did I wake up on the floor?
I retreat from the kitchen and turn my attention to the chaos at my feet. Maybe I'll find a clue as to why I'm somewhere I don't know, feeling like my brain was recently smashed.
.................................
....Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?!
Clue or not, what the hell's all this?!
Alcohol! It's alcohol. Cans of beer, bottles of beer. Most of them are empty, too. What the hell? Did I drink all this? I don't believe it! No way could I have drunk this much by myself! Is it even possible for someone to drink this much and survive? What am I, an alcoholic? But then again, I don't remember anything...
The stinging pain brings me back to reality.
If these countless empty containers really were my doing, I must just be having a really bad hangover.
Maybe I should take a shower.
Yeah, a nice hot shower would help.
I slowly make my way back to the kitchen. Not that I know where the bathroom is, but I don't know where else to look. A quick check proves successful - sure enough, there's a door I must have missed the first time. I open it and peer inside, hoping that my search isn't in vain. To my relief it's definitely a bathroom, toilet and all.
Huh. There's already a towel hanging on the handle.
I take off my clothes in a hurry, as if getting into the shower a moment sooner will help alleviate my pain.
