Erlan, Corrupting Blight of Storms is a rage bane that wound its way around the celestial dragon Yushan Tien's heart. Driving the dragon mad, the bane revelled in the death and destruction its host caused the people of Southern China, and cursed as Yushan was trapped in the book by Grandfather Lei and Grandmother Fung. After eons trapped within the book the bane rejoiced when it and the dragon it infected were finally freed. The dragon regathered its strength and when the mages, Hao Wei and Dewei inadvertently called him, Erlan once again rejoiced thinking they would be destroyed. Unfortunately with the aide of Vivian and Miao Yin, Erlan was torn free of its magnificent host, its last vision was of the celestial dragon overhead as it was sealed within the Book of Silver and Jade.
