Noah Bluck - rogue fighter

Noah is the oldest son of Bastion Bluck and Lilly De Crozier. Bastion was from a poor farming family but joined the militia as a young boy and quickly rose in ranks as an adept fighter and fearless leader. He set off to join the members of the militia to lend aid in fighting local wars against marauders, demons and other evil forces that plague the local towns and villiages. He quickly became a town hero when he was the only man to return after an orc raid on a nearby town. A banquet was held in his honour, and it is there that he met Lilly and won her heart. She was from the richest family of town and the thought of hanging off the arm of the strong, plain speaking, soldier-farm boy, was too romantic for her to resist.

The two moved to Bastion's family farm, which had suffered from his absence. But the young couple were hopeful for their future, and with their first son Noah born and their second on the way, they were happy in their simple life. Bastion loved his boys. He taught them combat tactics in the fields, showing them how to hide from view, even if it seemed next to impossible. He taught the boys to use everything to their advantage. Honour is for your rich cousins. Let their parents mourn when they don't come home. Lilly was loving, and having the natural gift of a teacher, challenged her son's minds, making them unsually smart for their age, to the point that they would be sent out of the local school house for being rowdy and restless. The teacher thought they were hopeless, Lilly thought they were geniuses... espescially young Seymour, who seemed to be develloping an affinity for magic even at the young age of 8.

About that time, tragedy struck the small family. Famine crept across the small town and the Bluck family farm perished. Without the money from the farm, Bastion had to once again join the army and being out of his prime after over a decade of living a peaceful life, died in battle. This left Lilly poor with two teenage boys to feed and with no way to earn money except by the graces of her family, who have had less than loving feelings toward her since she married "below her dignity". Only their cousin showed any sympathy for the two boys and their mother, and soon the trio went from being thought of as tragic, to a nuisance, to a downright drain on good society when Noah and Seymour started getting caught stealing from local "high society" shops. Within two years poor Lilly's health was in rapid decline. Noah watched as his mother faded away, much to the relief of their rich relatives.

Noah took his younger brother back to their farm, where they lived on the poorest means. They would sneak into town at night and steal what ever food and clothes that they could, staying in the shadows as to avoid public beatings and days in the stocks. Noah dreamed of the life his father led. the idea of being the greatest warrior filled his mind. He would test his skill and strength every day. He and his brother would keep eachother alert mentally and physically. Unlike Seymour, Noah had no skill with magic, so his strength and ability to lose anyone in the shadows, would be his greatest ally. He dreamed of one day being so skilled that his presence would only be felt like a breeze on the back of the neck of his enemy, and then it would already be too late.

He did not want to be apart of the world that he saw in Oak hill. He found it corrupt and greedy, although many genuine souls lived within its walls. To this world he would be invisible, maybe even to its inhabitants. He would come and go, take what was needed from those who did not deserve to have it in the first place, and become a legend to those who wished to follow a similar path. The path of the true warrior. The path of solitude.

In the Shadows I will prosper, in the darkness they will feel me. I will be the whisper on the tongues of travellers and bandits. Reveared and feared. You cannot defend against that which you never knew was coming.
