Erythnull was once a mortal, a noble paladin who’s purity and grace were beyond reproach. The death of his family, however, drove him to madness and vengeance. Turning aside from Heironious, he embraced the only power left to him, his anger, and used it to stalk his family’s slayers across the breadth of Terradon. It is said that his rage was so great that it made him unstoppable, allowing him to battle entire armies, and even put out the fires of the abyss itself. Eventually it made him into a god. So powerful was his rage, however, that it consumed him inside and out, burning his flesh and soul horribly. Even after he avenged his family, Erythnull could not let go of his rage, which continues to burn him to this day. The priests of the Cult of Erythnull, called Slayers, are infected with some aspect of the Burned one’s need to destroy. They are harbingers of fires, diseases, genocide and atrocity, seeking wherever they can to tear down man and civilization, trying to burn the world in the way that their own god (and themselves) have been burned.
