The Watchman is the husband of the Lady of Wealth, a counterpoint to the careful chaos of her capitalist doctrine. As the neutral god of order, Cuthbert is cares simply that there is order in the world. Whether it be brought about by Hextor’s brutal dictatorships, or Heironious’s valorous code, or some other means, does not matter, so long as it holds. Cuthbert is also the god of retribution, but not the god of vengeance, since revenge is justice sought outside the law.
